How are you supposed to deal with getting weaker on a cut when you’re not even anywhere near being lean yet?
I’m only 3 weeks into cutting and everything feels heavy as frick already
How are you supposed to deal with getting weaker on a cut when you’re not even anywhere near being lean yet?
I’m only 3 weeks into cutting and everything feels heavy as frick already
skill issue, or not enough proteins, my lifts still go up on cuts, albeit a tad slower
That makes zero sense unless you’re new to the gym or something
I’ve been lifting for 13 years and the moment I enter a calorie deficit I immediately get weaker, like -15% on pressing strength happens in week 1
>I’ve been lifting for 13 years
>asks moronic noob question
Like I said, skill issue, you may "feel" weaker but I have no issue just continuing to push myself as I would normally do, try harder I guess
You’re not gaining strength on a calorie deficit you moronic c**t
I bet you’ve never tracked calories in your life to even know whether you’re in a deficit or not, and you’ve just always been in a surplus
If you’re gaining strength in a calorie deficit you would be a human miracle and should be tested for your 1 in 1 trillion genetics, the ability to gain strength in a energy deficit, woah man… you’re like a demi god
Or you’re just talking out of your ass making shit up like a typical 4choooner
I wonder which one it is
>You’re not gaining strength on a calorie deficit you moronic c**t
It's possible. It's not as rare as you think.
When I'm in a cut I usually increase my protein intake in 40% and increase my steroid doses
You do realize that your body uses your fat storage as energy fuel on a cut, right anon? Holy lel
You’re moronic holy frick
Fat stores aren’t quick access energy stores which is what you use for strength
Your current level of strength mostly comes from your current level of carbohydrate intake since that is the fastest source of energy available
Your fat stores aren’t doing shit to give sudden energy bursts required for strength, if that was the case you could use fat as energy for strength people who are obese could go into the gym and have super human strength yet fat fricks are all just as weak as skinny fricks, if not even weaker because they have low T from being morbidly obese and fricking up their hormones
>current level of carbohydrate
your so close anon, maybe you can figure out how to gain muscle on a cut yet, you're so very close
>gain muscle on a cut
You realize by saying this you just outed yourself as a noob lifter who hasn’t been lifting for more than a few months
>still hasn't posted body
Educate yourself, moron: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26817506/
Quite the opposite actually, I know many people who have increased muscle mass on a cut and it is fairly common to hear from people, both novice and long time lifters, you're just coping because you get all sweepy when you go to the gym now, weak ass pussy kek
1 gram protein per lean pound muscle mass.
Most of your other calories should be fat.
I drink kefir to aid in digestion.
I'm cutting while building muscle.
1 lb steak and around 6 to 8 eggs. 1-2 cups kefir.
Going to do this until my bulk.
36 eggs, 2 lbs of meat, and some fruit.
>36 eggs
Whole or only the whites?
Whole and raw. For cholesterol and raw calories more than protein. Drunk throughout the day, mind you.
How much muscle do you have?
I don't even eat eggs in cuttings because otherwise my weight will go up real quick
175 to 180 lean, 220 lbs overall.
Mostly working on cardio and endurance right now, trying to slim down, do bodyweight shit.
I like slimming in winter and bulking in summer though.
More of a strength power focus in summer
If you can gain muscle on aa cut you should just gain weight and fill out instead of looking like a weird obomination.
>implying you can't do both
Post body
>moronic c**t
>proceeds to type moronic shit
many such cases
>skill issue
Ironic considering you’re clearly not lifting to failure. If you were, you can’t just “push yourself a little further” because you are literally lifting until failure, which you’re not.
Wtf are you talking about?
For the last year I’ve pressed 45kg dumbbells on the incline for sets of 10-12 fairly comfortably
I entered a calorie deficit for the first time in over a year 3 weeks ago and suddenly 35kg dumbbells feel as heavy as the 45kg dumbbells did and it’s only been 3 weeks
This sudden loss of occurred within 20 days of entering a calorie deficit
Oh and don’t you dare try and tell me I wasn’t pressing 45kg dumbbells properly or something
I’ve been press 45kg dumbbells each arm on incline db press for over 400 days and the only difference between the last 3 weeks and last 60+ weeks is me being in a calorie deficit
I do a failure set on my last set and:
>push yourself a little further
is literally the definition of lifting to failure moron, only manlets lift to failure on every set anyways
>I’ve been lifting for 13 years
Either you've got shit form or you're getting old and aging like shit
15% in 1 week? Get your T checked out bro something is wrong with you or like the other anon said, skill issue.
You people are out of your mind I had wider shoulders than most men at like 13 and I grew up fat yet all the skinny kids look like the long tan and handsome dude from SpongeBob.
Noob gains on a cut are stupid easy if you know what you're doing, it will just never be near as fast as on a bulk. Yeah you might not make gains on a cut if you've been training well for 5+ years, but -15% strength 1 week into a cut is insane and you have problems or are doing something wrong. Simple as
I'm a newbie but I am pretty sure I put on a lil muscle mass last cut.
That's because you're still making noob gains and you're not on any meaningful deficit
You were never really strong
Problem is, son, you're cutting too much and following meme advice.
Cuts shouldn't be brutal because you're an impatient twat. You should just be cutting about 300-600 cal/.day max so you're not suffering and can keep strength up.
Shit, back when I was in my early 40s, I dropped 25 lb. over a year doing a slow cut and still added weight to every lift. Do it right, fatty, and go slow, you'll thank me later.
It’s almost 2024 and people on IST are claiming to gain muscle in a energy deficit, something roiders can’t even do
Did this place regress in knowledge or something in recent years? I don’t remember IST being this moronic
Samegayging this hard. Le ebin oldgay
you don't even lift lol
Post body, let’s see this 1 in a trillion specimen of genetics that gains muscle tissue in an energy deficit
Not him but my doctor says this happens, but much slower than in a bulking
Lmao
Kill your self
Lmao at all these claims being made by sloppy DYEL looking peasants with no gains claiming to be able to make muscle gains in a calorie deficit
Dumb fricks probably don’t even know what it means to be in a calorie deficit
you sound mad, post body to prove us wrong then fat boy
Not that anon, but I think the problem is your focus on your cut.
You should probably focus on big compound lifts instead of isolating arms.
Kettlebell swings for a cardio focus might be great too.
Your growth is gonna be determined by HGH production, and I don't think isolation are gonna cut it.
The frick are you talking about lmao
Incline dumbbell press isn’t an isolation, it’s a compound lift
The frick are you talking about isolations
Are you dumb or what? I mentioned per arm on dumbbells before the moron sperged out about me “only lifting 45kg on dumbbells” when I have 45kg in each hand when I incline db press
No need to be so mad.
You're the one that's losing skeletal strength on your cut.
Don't ask questions if you just want to last out at people, jeez.
hey champ, if you ask someone to post body you're supposed to post yours as well, common board etiquette
>yeah bro I can gain muscle in a calorie deficit, you must be doing something wrong if you can’t gain muscle in a calorie deficit!
I just get up and deal with it.
IST is getting more moronic by the day, now we are entering level of building muscle on a cut, jesus my lord
S...Sam Sulkek can do it, and that boy is literally me.
my lifts stay the same. eat more carbs idiot.
imagine being a seasoned lifter that lifted for 13 years and still caring about a drop in performance during a cut
