It's not. You should drink a little more.

    Say goodbye to the following:
    >hair
    >erections
    >happy feelings
    >genuine friendships
    >gains
    >testosterone

If having one beer with your friends completely tanks your testosterone and makes all your hair and gains disappear, then I don’t think you were gonna make it

The problem is that most drinkers will do nothing but drink or nurse their hangovers. You should be doing things you enjoy or being productive on the weekend/after work

True, and this is the biggest issue with any addiction: It takes resources. You have no time, you're indulging in your addiction. You have no money, you spent in on your addiction. So on, so forth. And if you're hooked you'll feel this issue right away, whereas health issues are some blurry point in the horizon you're heading towards

Objectively pretty bad but not the end of the world like the shutin virgins on here would say. The CHAD EATS PIZZA meme is unironically true with regards to boozing. Getting drunk every now and then when you're in your 20s isn't going to kill you

Cocaine is more addictive and booze.
I've tried LSD but not shrooms and it really seems like a once in a while thing. You will develop some mental disorder if you dose that shit regularly. Alcohol abuse gives you liver failure in 30-40 years.

Depends? Are you just going out for a beer or two once a week or are you going out for 5+ drinks 4 or more nights a week?

  6. 5 months ago
    Anonymous

Like every other thing as long if you don't get wasted every day of the week and drink a little you are not going to die of it
Also wine when you eat is good for you

Asuming you are not literaĺy starving to death and require calories in absolutely any form, alcohol is not good for you at any dose.

It's estrogenic, but unless you are drinking every single day then it's not really an issue.
Humanity has been consuming it for thousands of years.
Instead you should be focusing on avoiding shit like sneed oils, gums, corn syrup, SSRIs , birth control, modern medicine, all that good stuff...

It's good for you in moderation.
Ethanol and retinol are both alcohols, which stimulates the liver enzymes that convert alcohols into their respective aldehydes. So alcohol consumption is a very effective way to stimulate the liver to break down retinol.
If you have done an elimination diet that eliminated PUFAs and vitamin A for a long time, you should be pretty much immune to hangovers.
Alcohols actually good for your skin if you have acne and live in a cold climate, as it stimulates the vitamin A to get broken down, which is what the Sun would do for you if you were in a hotter climate.

Now if you want to consume alcohol but continue to consume goyslop, and retinol-slop, then you are just going to frick your liver, because PUFAs and vitamin A are both synergistically toxic to the liver - in fact they are the primary liver toxins in the diet.

As an everyday drinker I don't care at all if people don't drink. In fact if we're friends and attend the same social functions I'll ask you to drive me so I can get trashy and not have to walk home.

I'm sorry you live in the Midwest. Anyone worth hanging out with stop drinking around 25. 30 at the latest.
      >inb4 no fun homosexual
There is nobody who hangs at a bar is cool except to other drunkies. No, you're story of watching 2 drunks fight isn't cool.

The solution is to not care. If you can't bring yourself to do this just make up a lie like how you're taking meds that are incompatible with alcohol or you have some intolerance.

Work burnout and stress had me drinking to excess all through my 30s and 40s. It's bad. Let alone the risky situations: black eye, dive bars, fined for pissing in public. Endless refused entry to bars or embarrassing dancing/ singing/ rapping/ shirtless even naked on dancefloor. Almost forgot: Broke my tibia doing a "karate" jump on dancefloor.
Go cold turkey every few years then start again bc of toxic workplace.
Also. Natural introvert but drink gave me party extroversion.
    And bad hangovers, belly, eczema.
Avoided all situations where booze present (parties, art openings, bars).
Full on for me but bad.
Hereditary alcoholism in my family so just had to stop altogether.
This time it is coming up on 10 years sober.

Drinking 7+ drinks per week (read: 1+ per day on average) is associated with longterm cognitive decline.
You can drink if you want but as soon as it becomes your “thing” you’re an alcoholic with no gains

And it goes without saying, you have to be white and not a subhuman who lacks even the enzymses to break down alcohol.
