    More destructive to your cut than your gains unless you drink so much the hangover prevents you from lifting. Pretty awful for your body in just about every way though so best to limit drinking to a minimum.

    I drink pretty much on the weekends and wake up feeling like shit, I can go without it during the week, but come weekends, it's too hard to not drink

    As a former alcoholic,
    It's pretty fricking bad. When young you can work hard play hard (in moderation, e.g. workout well during the week, binge drink weekends) but even when young you will start to suffer.
    Mid 20s/30s? Shit will wreck your physical everything. I stopped drinking and lifts started magically rising, weight started magically coming off. It interferes with muscle protein synthesis and sleep, which- look up the effects of bad sleep alone. It's fricky when it comes to gains.

    I did it for years and started to exhibit early signs of heart failure. I would get wasted and ride track bikes around the city all night. Some nights putting 30 miles on my fixed gear bike with a backpack full of imperial stout.

    I then got into hard liquor for a while. It would activate the dark side in me.

    I quit drinking this summer and I don't miss the shit at all. I am in a active state of recovery and use the weight lifting to readjust my fricked up dopamine centers.

    It is. I'm drunk 4th day now. Frick. I hate this existence, I hate people. I just destroyed my relationship and many friendships because of it. It sucks. Don't ever drink as much guys. Alcohol is fine in moderation, but if you're an angry butthole drinking is a bad idea

      Quit drinking. The first 3 days were the worst for me. Got way easier after that
