How can I guarantee weight gain?

I've been lifting off and on for most of my life.
Been consistent for the last 3 months and I look the same as I did. I still only weigh 140lbs and its pissing me off. What the frick can I do to ensure I put on weight? I don't mind putting on a little bit of fat, but I'd prefer mostly muscle. (Goal weight is 170lbs)

Fruit smoothies in between high protein meals. Push your final full meal for the day back until 1-2 hours before you go to sleep.
        Don't forget about 2nd breakfast.

The canned tuna and chicken arent the only thing I eat. I eat my moms cooking as well, I make smoothies with the protein powder. The canned foods are only to ensure that im actually consuming protein.

You don't necessarily have to cut back on cardio, just try to be in a surplus. You can't gain weight in a deficit, anon, that's how math works. We need the nutrients to grow our muscles, sleep to recover, and more than our baseline requirements to be able to add more to our bodies. If not, you'll always be more sore/fatigued than you need to be and won't be able to use more weight. Definitely reread the stickied articles.

OP, a single tablespoon of olive oil is 119 calories, buy the real nice olive oil the stuff you'd use for salads. Costco is good.

Add a tablespoon to each meal, every sandwich you make etc.

Bam, 300-700 more calories a day EZ

If you're consistently getting a surplus of calories and plenty enough protein, you're probably going to benefit from getting more sleep.
