How can I psyop myself into sleeping on my back.

How can I psyop myself into sleeping on my back. My whole body hurt in any other position but when I'm on my back it feels weird having no pressure on my cheeks and I always end up caving I and turning to the side..

Turn your head to the side while on your back

Neck hurts when I do that, it also doesn't turn enough to put the same amount of pressure anyways..

I did it because it worked against my acne. First you need to get kinda used to it. 2 nights a week, your neck will get sore (a little bit) and it might still have the reflex to move, so youll get some problems if you do. Basically, position yourself however your neck is comfortable , i like to kinda put my chin a bit up and put the thing on the back of your head against your mattress. My father just used a towel to sleep on his back and reduce his sleeping motion.

    No pillow for the win.

      ESL kun please try again.

Based floor sleeper. I sleep on a japanese futon myself. Anything else gives me back problems.

Why do I feel like the only person in the world with 20 different sleep positions every night? Even if I'm really tired I still role around a few times.

Do people really just lay down without moving and go to sleep?

Yes. I sleep either on my back or on my right side roughly evenly, but I always wake up on my back.

If sleeping on your stomach is...le bad, how come if feels so right? I can fall asleep on my back if I'm super tired but for a regular night frick this
Another shitty aspect of sleeping on the back is that if you put your hands behind the pillow you'll wake up in the middle of the night with dead nerves

I cross my hands behind my head to make a hand pillow. Back sleeping definitely helps prevent back pain and improves posture

Start with 3 mg of melatonin before bed for a week and force yourself to sit on your back until you fall asleep.

I had to do this for weeks with pillows on both side before it started to feel normal.
Now I always sleep on my back and I never wake up feeling sore.

There's an extreme way of doing it for people who were recently operated on or shouldn't sleep on on e side for other medical reason. You tape a sanitized thumbtack to the side you don't one to sleep on and go to sleep. The pain won't let you go on that side when asleep. Not the most comfortable method but works 100%.

Side sleeping (left side) is the best for digestion and most universal especially among hunter gatherers.

only stomach sleepers know how much of a struggle it is to find an acceptable pillow. my mom bought me a pillow when I was a teenager and it's perfect, perfect size, softness, and material, but I can't find another one even close to it so I've been using the same pillow for about half my life.

sounds about right. I've basically had 2 solid pillows my life and one i had to restuff just to get correct because i couldn't find a good replacement to my original.

Do I really need the pillow under my knees for maximum spine support? I’m pretty sure I can train myself to sleep on my back but the pillow bugs the hell outta me. Just feels like it doesn’t belong.
