      mag glycinate is supposed to be much more bio-available than mag oxide, which is what I've always seen used in ZMA formulations
      idk if mag glycinate breaks down into glycine, but glycine is great at bed time. you should try it

    Go outside first thing in the morning and get 5min of sunlight on you.
    Quit caffeine.
    Try using a white noise machine, ear plugs, and a sleep mask at night.
    Aim to go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day of the week, no “sleeping in” days.
    Set the temperature in your room to be very cool in the evenings.

    Keep doing that and stick to a routine. Improving sleep hygiene doesn’t result in instant sleep gains but give it a week and ypu might start to notice. Give it a month itll be obvious.

    Wear fitbit or apple watch if you have one and you can see your gains in concrete data form. You can get a knock off chinese heart/sleep monitor for $30 thay will do the same job.

    What helped me was quitting caffeine, airing the room before going to bed, having the room at a lower temperature and no disturbing noises.
    Also take melatonin if I have trouble getting to sleep.

    If you are actually serious about sleepmaxxing you need to bring caffeine down to a maximum of 30mg (approx 1 green tea or one can of cola) per day.
    Many supplements like valerian root and melatonin can actually make you sleep worse.
    stop passively consuming liquid and high sodium foods throughout the day.
    keep room at high humidity low temperature
    Buy a good pillow. I like the shredded memory foam coop pillow.

    I unironically have a cup of coffee before browsing my phone for about 30 minutes. I fall asleep to an audiobook on 15 minutes timer and very seldom hear it turn off. I just stop thinking and the brain gets the point and fall asleep.

    Go camping for 3 days with none of that shit and get your circadian rhythm back.
    Eat breakfast within an hour of waking.
    Don’t eat 1 hour before sleeping.
    No Caffeine

    This is how I flipped from night shift to a normal schedule over one weekend
