I am eating enough protein btw before you assume im cutting on 0g protein or something.
I get like 50g from whey/milk/eggs and another 80g from meats everyday
You have to actually lift weights before you cut.
Been lifting for years mate, it makes no difference, when I cut i still end up skinnyfat.
I know guys who dont even lift weights, who when they cut, get ripped.
In scientific terms, you are what is referred to as a genetic dead end.
Are you cutting with pure starvation or are you still doing resistance training/high intensity cardio when cutting?
My routine, I did a 5x5 for about 1 year when I first started, then moved onto Upper/Lower, then moved on-to body-part split routine, and now do the PPL routine. Been lifting for about 6 years now.
My cutting isn't starvation, I eat like 1500-1800 calories, and eat 120-150g protein per day.
I lose, but I also seem to lose a lot of muscle at the same time, and I end up looking skinnyfat.
I am starting to think this.
Do some sprinting or sprint-rowing. High intensity anaerobic exercise is known to dramatically encourage fat burning.
hve you tried losing weight by upping your cardio and still eating 2500+ calories a day?
I gain fat on 2500+
1500-1800 cal daily intake is not a big deficit for me. Im a manlet 5'7
What kind of numbers are you exactly pushing?
hey moron he said do cardio. lowering your calorie intake doesn't do shit if you just sleep in bed all day.
This doesn't say how much you're lifting. "Doing 5x5 for about 1 year" doesn't describe how much progress you made. You did increase the weight as the year went on, right?
Describe your routine.
I see lots of guys at my gym who have been going for years and they probably think they have "been lifting for years mate" but they really do the laziest, shittiest routine with the most babyweights imaginable. You're probably one of them, honestly.
Post height and weight. Also, lifts
If you can bench at least 2 pl8, you should have SOME muscle size on your pecs and arms
I dont bb bench anymore, but I did reach 240 x 5 on the 5x5 back in my first year. My main chest exercise now-days on PPL is a Incline Dumbbell Press, I do 100's for sets of 8-10
you have no muscle
Not enough protein probably and too large a deficit
Probably micronutrient deficient too
You need to lose more weight, simple as. If you are 180cm tall, like 5'11, then you will weight 80kg, or 176lbs, at roughly 12% bodyfat, if you are muscular. Basically cut out the 1 from your height in cm and you will have your beach-lean bodyweight. If you have already achieved that bodyweight and are still skinnyfat you will know that you still aren't muscular enough. BTW you can still weight more and look good and even have a six pack, this is just a rough estimate.
