How did you find your doctor to perform your hair transplant?

This is where I am stuck in the process. I have done all my research on protocols, what to expect, if it is right for me, after-care, etc. But I am simply overwhelmed by the amount of options when it comes to finding a doctor among a sea of scare-mongering about butchers.

Is that what you did? How did you narrow down to options worth talking to in the first place?

you can browse the hairtransplants subreddit for your own research but here might be some places to start
      >dr perkiner, supposedly goat surgeon but has 1 yr wait times
      >FUECALIPER with dr gur or dr turan
      >absolute hair clinic with dr laorwong
      >fue-hlc, has like 4 different surgeons
      >dr keser
all are in turkey except laorwong in thailand. some people have also had success in tijuana but i’ve read a few anecdotes that made me want to avoid there

There is this forum called "hair restoration network". Ppl review doctors/clinics there. Only stick to good clinics/docs. There are few around the world, which drives up the price and/or results in long waiting times. Some docs have 4 year long waiting lists lol

Turkish clinics are all hair mills and the few OK ones are turning into hair mills as well

Hair transplants aren't difficult but you have to get a surgeon that has done a good number of them to get it done properly. Turkey is one of the most prominent destinations for hair transplants and cheap plastic surgery, after care might be substandard but they have very decent surgeons that operate on high volume

Massive moron. It's an extremely important aesthetic surgery whose results you will see everytime you look in a mirror. And your amount of donor hair is limited.

Do you have to take fin indefinitely after getting a hair transplant. Worried about side effects (breaking your dick etc.) But also going viciously bald.

lots of guys lose their dick function as they age anyways, you can take cialis and be a pillmaxxed hair-having penis user

I'm 25 and have no libido/ can barely get an erection (due to months of watching troony porn). Should I just hop on fin. I'm Norwood 3. Does it reverse balding or just stall it? I never took it because ppl say it breaks your dick and gives you b***h breasts etc. But as you say I've already broken my dick due to porn addiction. Hat's over the wall now.

i don’t take fin so maybe someone can else can help but i’m pretty sure it can restore hair follicles if the recession is recent enough, like within the last 1-2 years. after too long the follicles die out completely and transplant is the only option, but fin is still necessary after a transplant to prevent any further recession

The actual procedure is basically the same between doctors. What matters most is the HAIRLINE. The hairline placement will frick you up. Do not get a super straight hairline if it is not like that naturally.

I got mine in Connecticut, and the doctor drew my hairline. It was ridiculous and would have changed how I look like. Luckily, my father was there and changed it up. 1500 grafts, 2 years later, and I'm back to giga chad.

Try to have your father go with you to make sure the hairline doesn't look moronic is my best advice.

I've done a fairly good job maintaining my hair and nobody even realizes its thinning or receding the corners, but eventually I'd like to get a transplant to fill in some density back. But the problem is I have longer hair, and I also don't ever want anyone finding out I've had a transplant. And I just don't see any way of making that work without going cocoon mode for several months waiting for the scars to heal and the hair to grow in.

Lots of actors get hair transplants but their jobs makes it easy to pull off since they can easily go months or even years between movie roles if they need to.

You can pay more to have procedures done while your hair is long.

It's usually not recommended though. Just bite the bullet. It also doesn't really matter if people know. Most people won't question if you start eating hats, but no one is really going to be a dick to you for being open about having a transplant.

        > but no one is really going to be a dick to you for being open about having a transplant.
Not openly, but people will judge you for it, will spread that info around, will talk shit about you behind your back, etc. This does, in fact, matter.

It's the same as if you're a manlet who heightfrauds with shoe inserts. Yeah it's all sunshine and rainbows until someone finds out what you're doing, and then it's game over and you're permanently a joke to everyone. Being seen as "authentic" or "real" (whether true or not) matters a whole lot. No different than how a razor sharp straight hairline from a shitty transplant surgeon is bad because it's obviously not real.

I get the insert concern, but not transplant. I guess you can pay extra like the other anon said if you really care that much.

Honestly I just looked some places up and went to one near me that had good reviews online. The doc drew my hairline and I was quoted a price and that was it. I didn't agonize over it way too much since I was at the point where I figured it was either a transplant or I was going to just have to start shaving my head.

I've done a fairly good job maintaining my hair and nobody even realizes its thinning or receding the corners, but eventually I'd like to get a transplant to fill in some density back. But the problem is I have longer hair, and I also don't ever want anyone finding out I've had a transplant. Valid concern I guess but it's just something you really can't do anything about. I took time off work to heal up a bit, but my scalp was visibly red and my head was shaved down to like 2mm so I really don't think you can hide it unless you're wearing a hat or wrapping your head like a cancer patient.
The only people who would really know are my coworkers though since I avoided everyone else for a couple months, and I don't really fricking care what they think.
My parents for instance had no idea I ever had a transplant and when I saw them the next time they commented that my new haircut made me look a lot younger somehow, lol.

How is this fitness? There are no good doctors in a decent pricne range you either wait a year or go to a some turk hairmill. It honestly doesn't even fricking matter what matters is that you already have density and that you havent' receeded much. That's why Brett Maverick's transplatn looks so good because he already had enough hair in the front and just got more density and filled in his corners slightly. If you don't have the density or if you're already fin up top don't even bother it'll look pluggy no matter the doctor.
