the trick is to get accustomed to not feeling full all the time. after a few weeks your body is used to that so just start with a small deficit. you dont have to starve yourself but you should learn to deal with not being completely satiated all the time. it will get a lot better after a few weeks

carbs before bed stop overnight fat burning to replenish muscles
                carbs in the morning dont
in both cases you want sugars only, never starches
starches delay fat burning longer and don't just burn off with the right amount of cardio to compensate

I am hungry all the time and you will be too. Every moment will be discomfort, but it's worth it, because it will hurt less than then aches and pains of being a fat frick.

yes most people feel like that. you just have to learn to live with that feeling until you reach your goal weight. you will get accustomed to it, for some its weeks for other months but it WILL get better especially once you dont have the carb cravings anymore.

I've been sticking to 1600 cals a day and the only time I ever get hungry is at night, so I just try to go to sleep and ignore it. Really hard to understand how people can feel hungry on 2000 or even 2300 calorie plans. Maybe you just need to add more protein to your diet. If you are used to eating huge portion, try intermittent fasting first to shrink your stomach and then switch to a 500 calorie deficit to begin with. Work your way up to 1000.

have the same problem regarding hunger at night. 400g of something like a quark/skyr or whatever usually helps a lot. gets a huge amount of low kcal food with a lot of protein into your stomache so you feel full. never understood how people can go to sleep on an empty stomach, I tried but I literally cant sleep. the hunger beats my tiredness. cant just lie there for hours.

no i eat only 1,800 calories a day (which is lower than what I probably need to be eating) but, I drink some black coffee every morning, and stick to satiating HIGH PROTEIN, HIGH VOLUME, LOW CALORIE meals so I sometimes go to bed before 1,500 calories and feel full. Lot of greek yogurt, anabolic ice creams, air-fryer chicken with veggie, cauliflower mashed, whole fruits, low calorie popcorn for snacks, it's really easy just track the calories

My brother do not start counting calories and believe that you can to keep eating bullshit. All of your first instincts are going to be wrong. Fitness bars are just candy bars, you are lying to yourself when you act like this is helping you toward your goals. Figuring out how to squeeze McDonalds into your calorie budget is sabotaging yourself.

Eating bullshit foods is like paying for pleasure on a credit card, and the repayment is made in suffering. If you want to be fit you have to pay off your debts, and that means suffering through the withdrawal of your bad habits. You will feel hungry and crave terrible food. This gets easier literally every day that you resist temptation. The start is like a valley, and you will say "I can't endure this for the rest of my life" but when you climb out the other side there is nothing to endure; you feel great, the temptation is gone, the sight of unhealthy food and fat people makes you sick to your stomach and you don't have to struggle any more. You will be free.

        Well it's the fricking answer.
There's no magical cure, the only way to slim down is to eat at a deficit for an extended period of time until you've reached the weight you want. There's many ways of doing it, you could eat at a slight deficit every day, you could do intermittent fasting, but either way, eat less. That's the answer.

You need to hone in on your calorie recognition. Sauces, butters, olive oils, seeds, nuts, snacks, drinks, coffee additives, sweets, every little damn thing. Just eat normal for a day and calculate every single calorie to totally understand where your fricking up.

STOP: Worrying so much about the day to day weight, just accept that until New Year's (which is soon) you are not going to notice anything without a before and after picture under equal conditions. So stop fricking looking at the scale.

DO: Track calories on an app, like myfitnesspal, and just make sure to hit your deficit every day. In order to make this easier, learn and start practicing anabolic recipes and low calorie-high volume recipes. They are quite literally required seeing as they fill you up and satiate you longer.

(If you do everything he does and with all the EXACT same ingredients, this shit is fricking incredible, also you need a Ninja)

        (great breakfast)

Also just two chicken thighs (bone in) with most but, not all of the skin cut off and seasoned with whatever blend you have, and then air fryer those b***hes at 380F for 20 minutes, when the air fryer beeps at you, dump veggies like asparagus under the chicken when you flip them. Amazing, easy, delicious dinner

You NEED anabolic cooking, also helps w/ protein

funny enough, you have what was my exact body type about three months ago but, just very very modest exercise & gym with a strict calorie deficit and EVERY calorie counted I am down from 230 to 199 lbs today, my goal is 175 so, probably another 3 months or so. But I keep my protein high and hopefully will retain muscle so I don't look like a skinny twink

stop making shit up, I literally said the complete opposite, imagine typing a fake quote from a post and replaying to it xD
            bruh

And yes you do need to look at anabolic, satiating options for foods. Literally everyone that fails at dieting usually restricts their amount of eating and fail because they are eating the same crap that they used to (only less of it) which is a recipe for feeling hungry at all times of the day. If they had tried anabolic, high protein options for meals and actually changed WHAT they eat, they would succeed a lot more since it sets you up for success instead of failure. OP, check those links before, those recipes are very interesting. Trust me as a guy who used them to lose 30 pounds in the past few months and I barely feel hungry at all because of what they are comprised of.

          literally this
I was 190 in the spring and in July I said "frick it no more." So I started to lift and start eating less shit. Weighed myself this morning and I'm hitting 175. Was 177 last week while gaining some muscle cause of body recomp.
I find lifting gives me a drive to eat better and eating better gives me drive to lift. Seeing how much I've slimmed down really motivated me too and I'm actually feeling hungry again. I eat three times a day in reasonable portions.

tl;dr CICO and Exercise bro. It won't drop off in an instant it takes time and it takes a willingness to change your diet and lifestyle.
*I still get a burger now and then but I skip fries unless I'm light fasting. Saving way more money living like this too. I feel like such a dumbass for not doing this sooner.

Easy. 1800-2300 calories a day. Go on walks, doesn’t have to be consecutive but get around 10,000 steps in (unironically this works if you’ve been sedentary). Go for a 30 minute walk, an hour walk, and a 3rd walk for as long as you need to hit 10k. An hour walk should easily be about 6000 steps or 3 miles.
    Lift 2-4 days a week.

Consistency is key. 3 weeks to make all this habit. 3 months to notice any changes. 6 months to have a significant change. 12 months to look completely different.

        Anonymous

Yeah, I was just throwing the numbers that work for me in. I should have done better. Honestly though my biggest recommendation is to just start on 2,000 regardless of height & weight and get in the habit of cooking your own food, being strict with 2000 no more no less, exercising, etc. then after it’s been a month or so start lowering it by like 250 every few weeks until you begin seeing consistent results without feeling like shit, stay there as long as you can. This is mainly to change lifestyle and build new habits without fricking up and failing within the first month. It’s just easier, and for most men 2,000 isn’t going to have them still gain weight, they’ll still lose on that with the exercise alone especially if they were inactive previously.

is 10000 steps per day the minimum now? I just started walking 6000 for two days and my feet and ankles hurt like hell.

I think if you’re new to it you should build up. Spend a month building up to it. If 6000 is all you can handle, fine, it’s significantly better than 0. Every 7 days take 1 day off, rest, then add 1500 to it for the next week and so on. In a month you’ll be over 10,000.

The minimum is whatever you can do without being a pussy and giving up because you're tired. If you weight 300lbs then in some sense you have an advantage because you'll burn way more calories with 6k steps than a fit person would burn with 10k steps. Don't let this fool you though, you have to stop being a fatass.

Most of that isn't fat, it's weakness. That belly is because of bad posture, mostly. It's more "bloated" that fat. I spent 2 years trying to figure out why I couldn't get rid of that stomach myself and it turned out I wasn't standing tall and my glutes were basically dead from all the sitting. You probably have an anterior pelvic tilt making it even worse.

Work on your posture and your "fat" will rapidly diminishing. To tone your body, you'll have to change your diet.

Eat oats and a kiwi for breakfast. Less than a tablespoon of sugar for the oats. Eat a medium/large meal for lunch; 3/4 should be meat and veggies. Eat a small supper, like a soup and salad. Have small snacks in between, no more than 4 and no more than 150 calories each, preferably a piece of fruit or something that's <100 calories. And walk everywhere.

Look up adiponectin. It's the reason why sumo wrestlers are metabolically healthy until they retire. Their levels are raised because of the hours of intense exertion that they go through every day. Obviously, that's not reasonable for most people, so it comes down to dietary considerations. An alternative is cooking biscuits with sesame seed flour, which is super high in phytic acid. You only need to eat a small amount. Should also make sure you eat something high in Vitamin C shortly after.
