Don’t even look at your body in the mirror if you can help it, stay shirted at all times so yo I can notice the changes. Don’t weigh yourself until you’re a month in, then do the same shit only weigh yourself once every 3-5 weeks. Literally just trust the process and make your primary goal being to do the work, build new habits. Every set, every rep, every step walked, every calorie is a step forward
    >lift
    2 days a week, 4x10-12 on all. Choose any 3 exercises you want. Don’t worry about progressive overload your goal is consistency at first. After 3 months start doing 3 days a week full body, apply progressive overload in some way doesn’t have to be weekly though. After a year you can try changing to something else like PPL or whatever program.
    >non lifting activity
    Just fricking walk every day. Get 10k steps in unironically. Go for a walk early morning, do another walk before bed. Work your way up to an hour twice a day daily.
    When you’re leaner do cardio once a week.

    Start at maintenance. Each week drop 150 calories until you’re in a 500 deficit. Potatoes are the best food you can eat to be satiated. 300 cals of potatoes and I don’t feel hungry for another 8 hours. Combine that with protein, some fat, and maybe a cup of mixed veggies and I feel great all day despite being in a deficit.
    Potatoes, chicken, beef, fish, eggs, fruit, veggies, and maybe some almonds. That’s all you eat from now on

    No visible changes. But all of this will be seocnd nature now and a new lifestyle for you. Scale may show a lower number

    Taking a picture of your back is honestly one of the most eye-opening things you can do as a fatty. Everybody tends to focus on the front, obviously, but when you're really fat, the back is what looks the absolute worst. That's where you get all the rolls of fat, and you look like a melting blob. Often times, the stretch marks you get on your back are going to be 1000x worse than the ones you get on your stomach.

        No, you don't have to accept it if you don't want to. Just let it be a wake up call. It was for me, I was speaking from experience when I made that post. You get used to looking at yourself from the front in the mirror every day, but when you look at your back, it tells the full story of how fat you've become. This isn't even the worst I looked, I weighed about 30lbs more than I did in that image and I'm pretty sure I had double-rolls on my back. I still have a long ways to go and my physique still has a lot of issues, but at least I don't look like that anymore.
