I rarely invite anyone to Florida and usually I tell them it's shit, but if you can work remote move to the West Coast of FL, buy a cheap trailer or condo near the water, and become a beach bum. Your skin will be healthy as long as you're not in the sun fro 11 am to 4 pm.

this anon is correct, ocean definitely helped me.

the other fastest/best answer i found was basically stop taking hot showers. it doesn't have to be cold, but just the less hot the better. i'm very suspicious that there are chemicals/toxins in hot water heaters or pipes that only activate/vaporize/whatever from heat

No, I'm female with androgenic hair loss. I take hormonal BC which contains an androgen blocker. If I stop taking it I lose hair and get cystic acne. But I don't like to take unnecessary medications so I've been seeking alternatives to block DHT.

You suffer from dry scalp and hair loss. Try using a shampoo made for women.

(Brands like Dove, Herbal Essences etc.)

Yes they are expensive but your hair will look and smell amazing.

I've had bad psoriasis all my life and I was able to dramatically improve it by going to see a dermatologist. Where do you have it? For me I have it on my scalp, in spots around my hairline like your pic, and a few small spots on my face. I use a Nizoral Psoriasis shampoo for the scalp, and as advised by the dermatologist I also use a bit of the shampoo to wash my face. This stuff seems to work, but it also dries your hair and face out, so be sure to moisturize your face and apply some sort of conditioner afterwards.

I've been prescribed two different creams for the spots on my face and hairline. The first was for Hydrocortisone Valerate 0.2%. This worked fantastically. You can apply a small amount to an area at night and there will be a noticeable improvement the next morning. However, it's extremely strong and you cannot use it more than a few times a week or else you risk thinning the skin around the area you'd applied it to.

The more recent cream prescription I'm currently using is for Tacrolimus 0.1%. According to the dermatologist, this cream doesn't have the same skin thinning side effects as the Valerate and I can use it every day if necessary. It works, but not as immediately as the Valerate did. Instead of completely removing the psoriasis in an area it will remove the dry flaking and leave a pale red area the next morning. Consistently applying it to the same area has shown to produce a noticeable improvement similar to the effectiveness of the Valerate.

One more thing since that reply got too long. I realize this is IST and people try to make diet the root cause of everything, but I have experimented with multiple dietary restrictions throughout my life and none of them ever produced a meaningful effect on my psoriasis. I've done month long tests removing gluten, grains, dairy, sugar, processed food, etc. from my diet and never saw even the slightest improvement. What has improved the psoriasis, apart from the above creams and shampoo, is getting a humidifier and making sure to wash and moisturize my face at least once a day.

Wow thanks for all the advice kind anons. I'm going to hit this shit hardcore. My plan:
      >nizoral+other drugs if needed
      >2 hours direct sunlight every day
      >tea tree

        +other drugs if needed
        >>2 hours direct sunlight every day
Nizoral is fine but SOME topicals and drugs for psorasis say do NOT get sunlight on the spots you use the drug on. Topical steriods can thin the skin and make sun exposure bad.

        Happy to help.
        >tea tree
Personally I never had any luck with this. If you're getting the pure tea tree oil that comes in the little bottle, just know that stuff is supposed to be diluted with a carrier oil before you use it. Do not put it directly on your skin. It won't kill you, but it stings like putting Neosporin on a fresh wound. Give it a try and see if it works for you.
        >I tried coal tar shampoo
I've heard this shit is pretty bad for you, and yeah the smell is nasty. Never had any real success with it either.

Let the nizoral shampoo sit on your hair for a minute or 2 before rinsing. At least I do

Yes, do this. Wait until you feel a cool tingling effect. If you used coal tar shampoo you're probably familiar with the sensation, it just takes a bit longer with Nizoral.

        >2 hours direct sunlight every day
Work your way up to that. If you jump straight into 2 hours a day, you’ll become a lobster, and frick up your skin!
        >t. Did exactly that at air shows when I was a kid.
If you’re gonna be just walking around, start with 10 minutes and add another 10 minutes each time after a recovery day.
If you’re gonna be sunbathing laying down, use 5 minute progression on each side.
Sunlight can be the best, or the worst thing for your skin depending how you use it.

Seems like psoriasis. At best you can combat it by lowering your stress.
Using some ointment containing corticosteroids also help but not that much. There are some shampoos that would also help mitigate but as this is a autoimmune disease is complicated to treat.
    >source: trust me, bro

this, corticosteroids should suppress most of the symptoms, but you'll be hooked for life, this shit can't be treated, it might go away some day, but medicine can't beat it, just learn to live with that burden

I found what helped me the most is using Selsium Blue shampoo (or shampoo with selenium sulfide), you lather it on your hair and making sure you focus on those zones and give it a good scrub. Afterwards when you’ve finished showering you’ll notice you’ll see those red zones (plaques) without flakes, from there you carefully apply Vaseline to allow for the region to retain moisture. Wash your hair 2-3 times a week but try to put Vaseline in those red sections every day for moisture and as a skin protectant.

I got psoriasis and I've tried to different lotions to keep it hydrated, and scrape off the excess skin which grows.
It helped, but I still had the redness.

I then tried a lotion with niacin in it, and supplement pills of niacin, that helped a ton for me.

But if it is psoriasis, it's going to frick up your hair. I have a patch on my leg with it, and it's as smooth as a baby anus.

it's most likely not psoriasis, it's probably Malassezia
it feeds on scalp oil and dandruff/psoriasis shampoo won't help
if you can't get an antifungal from a doctor, swim in a chlorinated pool daily and shower regularly

it doesn't remove the malassezia, though
immediately after you finish, you start producing oil again
the issue is that you need to get rid of the fungus that's causing the irritation, not the oil that it feeds on

i started to have psoriasis at age 25 and its been worsening since (33 now). Ive been to dermatologists and they are useless drug pushers. you will cure psoriasis by restoring your gut health and reducing inflamation.
Read and watch Dr.Gundry and read about gut health. Follow Gundry's diet tip (he has a list of foods Yes's and No's), have good sleep, exercise but not crazy endurance stuff.
it will take time but you will greatly improve pso and lose weight if you are fat.
ive been doing this for 3 months and my pso is improving a lot. As far as medication goes, when needed i use enstillar for body and nano-mometasone for scalp. I noticed that my flare ups come and go in a 2week cycle. But theyve been improving every cycle since my diet changes 3 mo ago. on youtube "loveless health solutions" is good and on twitter cooking with chris has good threads on gut health. Good luck

do your own research bro. Hypocrates said 2500 yrs ago that all diseases comes from the gut. Now researchers are finding that depression, alzeimer, immune system disorders (like PSO), are all linked to the gut. Basically bad gut microbiome leads to inflamation and bad bacteria going through the gut lining, then immune system sees bacteria and goes crazy

I helped mine be taking vitamin D3, being outside more, working out, using nizoral shampoo, spraying hypochlorous acid spray on the area after the gym and throughout the day. Also look into tazarotene, it's kind of like tretinoin but is used to treat psoriasis, with some people seeing complete clearance of their scaled with just this product alone.

All autoimmune diseases are the result of low d3, no infra red light and fricked up microbiome.
A shit ton of info on microbiome. I would recommend this:

    Go touch some grass:

For d3, look it up onlibe youraelf. 1k iu dose is a meme. You need at least 5k in an oil pill (d3 is not absorbed without fat). You also need all the cofactora like magnesium, boron, k2, beta carotene. Or you can just spend every day 20 minutes full body ubder the sun when uvb is at the highest percentage.
And cut out this shit from your food

My wife fixes her psoriasis by doing nocarbs for a few weeks, then it goes away for a year or so.
There are genetic causes, but it seems that inflammatory foods (most carbs and oils) make things so much worse that she has outbreaks in her hair.

bleach baths can help. even many dermatologists recommend it. and yes for psoriasis not just eczema. all you do is put 1/2 or 3/4 cup bleach in full bath tub of water. and soak in it for 20-30 minutes and then shower afterwards. very similar to going in a chlorinated pool.
