yea just keep doing them till theyre easier, simple as
Ignore these and do weighted barbell lifts from you back or bench presses. You're probably going to start off with low weight but thats the point, so increase to heavier ones. Soon pushups will become easy unless you are like me and it feels like your wrists could snap at any moment.
I was in the same boat. What worked for me was just doing a little bit consistently. At first, I could only do 1. So I did 1 a day until it felt easy enough to do 2. Then 3. So on and so forth. Don't worry if you stall on some days, that's fine. Just stick with it and your body will acclimate.
aye man you got this it took me a minute to get past 5 pushups there was a bet to reach 50 for $200, I did em through the days. I got better... I lost the bet... I couldn't reach 50 my limit was in the 40s...
>I can't do any
do negatives (or light weight chest press) >I can barely do any (less than 5)
do as many as possible, then do negatives >I can do at least 5
do as many as possible three times
Reminder to tense the shit out of your legs and core, and record on a phone to check your form. Also look up so you don't frick your spine (chin points to the ground, not your forehead)
Good point. my home gym has been unavailable and I don't have a gym membership. I can't even get motivated to do basic calisthenics. just slowly getting fat and losing gains and only slowly because at least I'm still fasting.
do it from your knees
fpbp, if you can't even do that wall push ups are even easier
Yep. This is how I started when I was skelly mode.
Go until failure every day. What a stupid fricking question by the way frick you op

Use an elevated surface, like a chair. It helps me when I couldn't do even one.
Try cutting fatass
Grease the groove, do like 10-20 every hour from when you wake up to when you fall asleep

how do I enjoy push-ups? I usually do sets of 30 but they are so damn boring
why are you doing pushups anon? Do harder variations, do them as part of a superset, or watch girls asses in the gym while you do them

Generally it means weak arms, shoulders or core. The chest itself is kinda bottlenecked here, so it's rare for it to be the weak link.
Chest press
Bench
DB presses; incline, decline and flat
You just have to do them, anon. I suck at chin-ups, but I still do them.
I can't do it at all.
I'll never do it.
It's over.
Chess press helped me. Couldn't do them properly before, after started hitting gym pushups started to feel more natural and easy to do.
