How do I increase my pull up number? I can do 7-8 max depending on the day and I want to be able to do 12 before trying weighted. I tried with added 25 lbs plate and could barely do 1.
Do pyramids to maximize volume per workout. Don't bother with weight until you can do 20 clean pullups.
If you can do 8 max then do sets of 6. Do that until it gets too easy then squeeze in another rep, repeat. After a while you can do the same thing with more weight.
Try fixing your form and rom.
