How do I lose this frickin belly fat? I feel like I look bloated. A little over a month ago I cut out all soda and junk food. Started trying to calorie count at a target of about 2000-2200 calories per day. I started working out with basic calisthenics at my local park along with consuming a lot more protein. I was trying to walk 3-4 miles a day but it's so time consuming, so I got kinda lazy on that. I don't currently have a scale but last time I weighed over a month ago I was 178 lbs at 5'10. So is it as simple as just exercising more? I don't feel like I've made any progress except my strength.
better pic
> dirty mirror
> shitty apartment grade medicine cabinet & towl holder
> "too time consuming to walk"
OP I hate to break it to you but you're a loser and you will never improve.
Ok any tips from someone who isn't moronic?
learn how to stay hungry for long periods of time or you will not make it
Ma brotha, I know how you're feeling. You're doing exercise, you feel healthier because you're being active, you're starting to eat healthy, but when you look in the mirror there's a cognitive dissonance that happens. If your goal is to cut the gut you gotta eat at a deficit. Simple as.
Shoot for about 1500 calories a day, 1200 if you're don't give af about your body going catabolic. Eat lots of protein to try and conserve muscle mass. It's a surefire way of losing body fat at the cost of losing muscle as well.
I can probably do 1500 I just don't want to lose gains with my strength training.
Don't do that you'll just break and binge. You have so much fat that you have to do it sustainably its, not a quick fix. If you were like 15% and wanted to see abs, sure. But you easily need to lose 30+ lbs and eating at 1500 calories a day for that long will just cause you to go on a reduction/binge cycle.
I hear you, but I get the feeling that you will become discouraged if you don't see results that a proper cut gives. It's a matter of compromise, would losing your gut inspire you to keep working out? Then cut. Maintaining muscle while cutting isn't impossible, it just makes the process A LOT longer. Ask yourself what you want and what will keep you motivated. I get the feeling a proper cut will do a lot for you.
It doesn't look like he has any muscles to lose any ways.
its about diet
you also absolutely have to get a scale and weigh yourself every day after going to the bathroom
track what you eat and how many kcals it is, dont guesstimate, look at the label and weigh shit
walking isnt gonna do shit, its all about diet
Get a scale off amazon. Weigh your food and count your calories. Once you've done this for a while you'll know intuitively how many calories are in what you eat. Especially if you eat the same things every day. Countless studies show that people underestimate the calories they consume and overestimate the calories they burn. Don't be one of them. If this is too much to do then stay fat.
Guy is too lazy to walk. You think he's going to weigh his food? Guaranteed everything he eats comes in a plastic wrapper anyway.
what the frick doesn't come out of a plastic wrapper bro? Do you kill your prey everyday and consume all of it on sight without storing it in cling wrap?
Vegetables
Meat from the butcher
You know healthy stuff.
I've had a suspicion that I'm underestimating how many calories in what I consume. At leas the things I can't measure from the nutrition label. Good idea about weighing the food though I really have to get a food scale.
Lift weights and body squats
Do more intensive cardio
Do a three-day fast each week
Don’t drink anything with calories
I'm on board with everything else, but 3 day fast? Pretty sure that will just get me sick.
I don't get it. I'm a fat ass but I've been eating 1200 calories for the last month and its not even hard for me. I eat at least 160 grams of protein a day. I'm not hungry. I lift every day. I do light cardio. I've lost 8 lbs in the last month. Why can't you people just stop fricking eating? I'm 6'5" 238, started at 250 a couple months ago.
Thanks for the inspo homie.
Alright you've convinced me. 1500 cals a day shouldnt be too bad if I jut drink nothing but water and have like 2 meals a day.
ryhw4y
nah frick that, 1,800 calories a day with 5k-10k steps + modest gym visits, 2 or 3 a week + high protein anabolic recipes
>80% gb has double the calories of 95% gb
Is he moronic? 100g of 80/20 only has 40 more calories than 100g of 95/5.
LOOOOOOLLLL homie is to lazy to walk, walking is just a mode of transport. If it was running I can understand but 4 miles is nothing
just fricking fast fatty...
a 3 day fast is easy you fricking homosexual!
In my experience, at around 72 hours, I'm obviously dehydrated, but as long as I don't overtax myself I still have a decent amount of energy and can go out and stuff.
Watch this mini docu on a guy who did a 7 day dry fast and documented his results each day.
If I wasn't worried about having a hypoglycemic attack I would try this
Why dry fast? Seems dumb. There's no downside to water
Water can deplete you of electrolytes quickly.
Dry fasting also is far more aggressive than water fasting. 1 day dry fast is about the equivalent of a 3 day water fast.
Make sure to drink lots of water if you try to lose the weight through cardio, it must be super hot down there in Australia
Cut out carbs unironically. I was in your shoes, and dieting was a pain in the ass. I cut out carbs, and now the protein and fat I eat keeps me satiated (I don’t even need to count calories). I lost weight rapidly without even really trying. It was insane to have it fall off so quickly after struggling so long yo-yo-ing and staying fat.
>inb4 ketoschizo
I’m not ketoschizo but he did inspire me to try this and I have to say it’s been great
This
Cracking down on those insulin levels can really help unfrick your bod, combine with OMAD and occasional fasts for speedcutting.
Belly fat is the last thing to go. My body goes out of it's way to hold onto it.
1500 calorie a day diet, with BMR you’ll passively lose weight along with whatever you burn in a day, as long as you get enough protein you won’t lose gains.
Simple. Stop eating for at least 30 days.
You're twice as fat as I was when I was 190, don't lie dude you're like 220+ at least.
Like everyone else has said though, don't be a pussy and just eat less. Also cycle instead of walk if it's too hard for you to walk. You'll start burning that weight fast.
