How do I maintain my physique in the army?

>getting conscripted for 1 year mandatory army service in January
>diet, sleep and training will be absolutely fricked
>5 hours of sleep per night
>dogshit slop food cooked with sneed oils
>no weightlifting, some calisthenics is the best I can hope for
Help me brehs, I don't wanna lose all my gains. What are the best ways to maintain my physique? Can drinking fish oil daily cancel out the toxic pufas in my system?

      Eat extra food.

wouldn't that just make me fat since limited exercise and no sleep metabolises protein into fat?

You can have a great physique on calisthenics, you just have to stay lean. If calisthenics is all you can do, then you have no choice anyway. Suck it up and do it until you can get back to training how you prefer.

Did my conscription in 2019-2020 in Estonia. Depending where you get stationed, you can get a pretty good gym. Personally lost a bit off strength with 11 months and gained some fat but it was really easy to get everything back to normal.

You're Finnish, right? Just take the prison time, or say you're a pacifist and do the police/fire service instead. More free time that way.

      not finnish but similar situation

what shit country's army has limited exercise regiment or no gym on base?

afaik all militaries are like that, at least with conscripts. They'll feed you the sloppiest of slops and the only exercise you're gonna get is jogging (hella gay) or rucking

Food for conscripts in Estonia is top tier in most military bases.
Mandatory exercises are indeed a meme. We had a 1.5km run every morning + some stretches. Personally visited gym sometimes + 4km runs during evenings.
Gyms were mostly good. Where allies were stationed those gyms were S+++ tier

Nothing is permanent in this life, don't get attached to things that can be easily lost. You could walk into the gym tomorrow, get injured, become unable to workout for months, and lose all your gains. That's just how it be sometimes, so don't be too worried about losing gainz, do your best to work out hard and eat well. If you end up with a worse physique by the end of your service, well that's life my Black, you can't do anything about it except move forward and continue your normal routine.
