Just don't put the bottle to your mouth. Alcohol cannot legally enter your body without your consent.

You have to just stop. There's no 'how.' 'How' is you chose to not do it. And that's it.

If need be, put your entire life on hold- career, relationships, everything- and do whatever you have to do to quit. You don't want to be looking back on 20 years of a life you ruined with this terrible addiction. Alcohol addiction is no joke

I feel you brother. Going through it too. I swear to God, I know when 7pm is without a clock every day. I just get so thirsty for liquor. I can feel it in the back of my throat. It's sad. 10 years of this shit. Can't believe how it snuck up on me

I got off benzodiazepines by tapering. I think tapering is a doable way to quit anything.

Why is his balding so strange? His actual hairline is okay, but he has insane thinning. Did he get a hair transplant for that hairline?
Maybe he has the Mark Rippetoe; a totally decent and odd hairline and then just nothing on top. But no way Rippetoe got a transplant.

      almost certainly a transplant

High blood pressure from his shitty diet & lifestyle. I mean look at this man, should you actually look to this man for health advice?

Unless you’re psyiologically dependent, just simply stop. Start with 2 weeks and take it from there. Bonus points if you start a new active hobby

the reason AA tells you to apologize to people and find ways to be in service to others is you've probably been dealing with a lot of memories that involve abusive and selfish behavior.
so the way you stop wanting to drink is by doing the opposite of what the memories represent. be generous and selfless and make others' lives better. remember that alcohoism is purely selfish and abusive every time you are about to buy alcohol and that the opposite is so much better.

you just follow the twelve step program, that's what most people do:

    1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.
    2. Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
    4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
    5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
    6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
    7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
    8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
    9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
    10. Continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
    11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
    12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

You're just too young for this. You have to be in a different place in life.

Its same like every drug the cost must outweigh the benefit for you to realize enough is enough. For me it was new wrinkles caused by it. Do i want to drink? Yes. Do i want more/worse wrinkles? Frick no
