    Cottage cheese isn't even the cheapest food per gram of protein though, at least where I live. It's actually slightly more expensive than protein powder per gram of protein. And no, I'm not autistic, I'm house poor. Gotta make my grocery money count.

        I calculate price per for calories too, I just cut it off in the image. Need to add fat and carbs too, but I just started making the spreadsheet a few days ago and I was mainly concerned with protein and calories.

        And yeah, there are even cheaper cuts of chicken, but I'm not going to calculate something if I'm not going to buy it. And I buy either thighs or breasts, because I am lazy.

    I usually eat it plain but it’s pretty good with everything bagel seasoning. It’s also good on toast with a runny egg on top. You can also try dipping raw vegetables in it if it’s a texture problem. The crunch really helps.

      2 x 500g low 0,1% fat cottage cheese
      1 x 250g 40% fat or 20% fat cottage cheese
      100g chocolate whey
      40g of cocoa powder
      Some water dunno 200ml maybe more I never measure, based on which constituency you want
      Get a big bowl like 3 - 5 liters
      (I recommend mixing the whey and cocao powder in the water first and then adding the cottage cheese one after another while continue to mix)
      Mix that all
      Get about 2kg pudding which is 1500kcal and about 230g of protein.
      Don't forget to put some cling wrap over it so it doesn't dry out and put it in fridge.
      If you get about 10 servings out of it it's 23g of protein per serving so it's a nice "snack" rather than a meal.
      If it tastes too sour for your taste you can add sugar(I'm strictly against this) or more whey but then you have to add also more water.

    I can't eat it with sweets, its too cheesy. Blend it with marinara sauce for a copycat vodka sauce. Basically in any sauce that you would use cream in, blend with cottage cheese instead. Marinara, algredo, pesto, mac and cheese, chicken pot pie, etc.

    Is it a texture problem, a taste problem, or a lacktoes dairy problem? You might be able to swap it out for greek yogurt or other products. Yogurt has pretty nice macros if you're buying plain rather than the sweet stuff. Price depends on the area though.

    How have you Black folk never heard of cottage cheese and applesauce. shit is amazing. i do one serving of applesauce for every two of cottage cheese. this has the best consistency.
    make sure the applesauce is the natural kind, no corn syrup shit allowed. applesauce only adds like 70-80 calories and makes the cottage cheese have some sweetness and tanginess, depending of course on your applesauce of choice.
    this is what my mother fed me as a child and it is the most based snack on the planet.

    Daisy low-fat for me.
    15% d.v. of sodium
    Most store brands are 20% d.v. and are kinda gross.
    Maybe even thin out with some yogurt. Haven't tried but might help.
    I love cottage cheese. I'll put it in about everything.

    Cottage cheese's problem is the texture. Blend it and you can use it as a low calorie sauce for pasta.
    here it is a base recipe:

    Proportions are up to you, keep in mind that the more shredded cheese you add the more caloric dense it will be.
