Sleep and reduction of stress. Avoiding acidic foods, and some tooth pastes(ive found uncle henry’s and toms helps) As this anon said salt will help but hurts, hard alcohol works too.
This guys has the answer.
If you have them on a regular basis, it's because of the stress your body is getting from sleep depravation and having a fricked up circadian rythm.
As a nerd teen, I used to have like 5 of these sometimes in my mouth (tongue, gum, etc.). It stopped when I quit going to sleep at 5AM and sleepless nights.
I haven't had a single canker sore since I dropped processed sugar, pasta, bread etc. and just started eating meat, vegetables and fruit.
Used to get them all the time.
Bullshit, me and my wife eat the same things, drink the same and have the same lifestyle, yet she has them often and I never do, absolutely never in all my years.
I think there's a genetic predisposition to it
I used to get these once a month at least. Started taking 500mg L-Lysine daily and haven't had one in over a year. No changes to diet, sleep, stress, anything. Nowadays I don't even take it daily, just when I feel one coming on or when I get a cut/scratch in my mouth. 1000mg/day for 2-3 days and it never progresses to a sore. I hear it also works for cold sores if anyone needs to know.
You have to fix your gut and oral health. I only get sores when my gut and thus my mouth is fricked up. Brush your teeth, swish with baking soda and water after meals, do oil pulling, and remove dogshit from your diet.
Had this recurrent shit for years, dentist told me it's mostly linked to eating poor quality food of 4 foods: chocolate, tomato, cured meat and shrimps. Didn't really eat shrimp but ate relatively bad quality chocolate and meat, when i started getting better stuff the problem disappeared, don't think i've had one in years (aside when i maybe bite my lip but it's much milder)
Oral Jel mouth mouthwash. I've probably had 100+ mouth sores from stress biting my lips. Oral Jel will clean it, remove pain, and kickstart it actually healing. You'll be rid of it in 2 - 3 days.
If they don't go away quickly or keep returning it's likely folate deficiency, either take a supplement or fry up a bag of spinach in garlic butter and a pinch of salt, clears it up almost immediately.
Okay, so this happens to me, I know what causes it, and I can tell just from this picture. Brush your teeth regularly, and the canker sores... Just won't happen. I don't know why, but I get them in the same spot if I don't brush my teeth for long enough.
I used to get these Black folk constantly. Like I would always have at least one somewhere in my mouth at all times. I stopped using toothpaste with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, and they pretty much went away. Now I get maybe one or two of them a year.
a pinch of salt directly on top of it, works like a charm if you can take a few seconds of pain and suffering

Your immune system is reacting to something. Most likely food related.

Brush your teeth to stop that from happening.
Some salt water helps reduce pain and inflammation, but I don't think there is a magic cure. Just try to improve your oral and general health.
Stop licking toilet seats.
