How do you guys feel overall about your progress this year?

I feel pretty good, at this time last year I was 250 and I'm currently at 200, 50 pounds in a year is pretty good. I technically lost 65 pounds but that's only because I gained then lost 15 pounds in April after an injury meant I couldn't go to the gym and I had to stay home all day.
I definitely could have done better but overall I'm still proud. People at work are starting to notice my weight loss and complimenting me. My boxing has also improved, I'm curently only boxing at home for fun/exercise but once I get in better shape will join a boxing gym

    Pretty decent.
    Lost ~20kg, got closer to my goal of OHP 100kg (70kg -> 90kg), improved cardio alot (rowing 5k down to 18:20).
    Missed all goals by a c**thair due to injury but wagmi sooner or later.

    I'm over 25 so I've only been regressing because of age. My hair has fallen off, my skin is wrinkly and my memory doesn't work. My dick has now stopped working as well and I have lost significant muscle mass. Being 27 sucks ass.

        Oh yeah? Well I'm 29, smoke 2 packs of heavy tar gays a day, drink a bottle of whiskey when I wake up and brush my teeth with absinthe. I take coke and speed all day and shoot heroin to mellow in the evening before falling asleep at 6 am and getting a half hours shuteye before waking to start again.           Yeah, well I'm 45 and a certified nonfunctional alcoholic. I inject heroin into my eyeball for breakfast (2am) before screaming into an empty metal bucket for an hour, which is both my only exercise and the closest thing I have to human contact.         OP I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been since I started lifting almost 18 months ago. For the first time in my life I’m consistently lifting and sticking with it. This year lifting went from a chore sometimes and a routine that I had to try hard to keep to something that is an important part of my life and almost automatic.

        I’m looking forward to what 2024 brings and my next step is upping my nutrition game and focussing on sleep hygiene.

          minimalistic crack den. I have no furniture beyond a bed and a desk. Zero decor whatsoever. All my things are spilling out of brown moving boxes haphazardly sprawled out on the floor. There are clothes piles and garbage and dirty dishes and drug paraphernalia covering most parts of the floor and all of my kitchen counters including the stovetop except for a cutting board that I prep food on and one element on the stove that I keep free for use. I finally got a garbage can recently: for years I would just throw trash on the floor, I am still adjusting to this and still throw garbage on the floor 50% of the time out of habit. About once per month when the smell gets bad enough I collect all the garbage and throw it out, and usually do a laundry load and dishwasher load as well. My bed contains a crusty light blue shirt that I use as a cum rag which I usually throw out and replace with a random one of my old shirts every month or so.

          I could go on. None of this is a lie and this was just off the top of my head, my life gets so much more disgusting. The craziest part is I work a high-paying job in tech and present as a normal human being in public but when I’m alone I feel like a schizophrenic animal with the way I live.

    Overall happy!
    - Started off 170lbs @ 5’8”, fat aa frick
    - Lost 35lbs from diet + hiking, 135lbs
    - Took 2mo off from fitness by accident due to reaching my cut goal and life getting super messy, passively got back to 145lbs
    - Lifting and gentle bulking this past 3mo, 150lbs

    On the one hand it feels awesome to finally be seeing strength and size gains after that long cut.
    But I can really feel how those 2mo off hurt my progress. I have an extra 10lbs of fat on me that I can see in my face and midsection and I hate it. My original plan was to diet down to emaciation mode, which I did, and then build muscle, but I kinda fricked it up. Now I am building muscle but still have visibly obvious fat. It haunts me that I look a lot worse than I could rn if I had been more disciplined and stuck to my plan.

    But oh well, for now we bulk. Visuals are secondary anyway, I am happy to be getting stronger and more functional. I thank God after every workout since every session is a blessing. I am very happy to be back in the gym.

    I have lost about 15 kgs and managed to do pull-ups for the first time in my life. Currently can do 4 or 5 of them which feels pretty good. Will also probably try 1x 130kg bench press before the end of the year, current record is 2x 125kg so it should be possible.

    Pretty damn good, 6’1 250lbs at the start of the year, got fat from switching to a sedentary job from manual labor. Cut down to 180, bulked back to 230, cutting again now. Hitting 1/2/3/3 working on getting that 4 pl8 diddly now. Finally getting to weighted dips and pull ups, and I’m starting to see the outline of my abs, excited to get bf low enough to see what I’m working with. WAGMI brothers.

    The good thing is that I tried different things. The bad thing is that I wasn't consistent. Now I've finally found things I want to be consistent with (running + dumbbells) and I'm going to add on tennis and/or grappling. I've always wanted to do too many things so now I'm just going to divide the year into different seasons. I wish I had figured this out sooner, but I'm really happy I can jog for an hour now.

    I gained and lost weight this year but I'm ending the year 6 pounds heavier with about the same bf % which is a start but I fricked up eating big time and spun my wheels. I am trying to bulk slowly to try and achieve full green man status by sometime next year.

    I can put out decent numbers for only having been lifting a month so I think I have good potential.
    So overall positive. Goal for next year is hitting like 250 squat and then cut.

    great. I feel great. I took my rock climbing outside and did a 120 foot send. I got my incline press from 155 to 225 for reps, and I learned how to do a tucked planche and hold it for 20 seconds. Extremely productive summer.

    Best year ever. I've lost close to 50 pounds. All my lifts are slightly higher. Got up to 50 miles run in a week. Got a new GF I actually like.
    Still a lot more work to do. I'm 41, by the way.

    In under a year that I started going to the gym after doing eh tier home workouts with dumbbells I:

    > gained around 6 kilos of which most or almost all is muscle.
    > Got deadlift that I never done before to 132.5 kg for 5
    > Got barbell squat that I never done before to 95kg for 5
    > Got OHP to 45kg for 5
    > Got bench to 75kg for 5
    > started regularly doing cardio and it improved a lot.

    Main thing would be eating more consistently: at least 4 meals of 40 protein each. As is I'm constantly gaining weight for a day or two then losing then gaining and over the months mostly I gain but sometimes I lose. While it still works and keeps me from getting too fat it's not the most efficient way to do it.

            That's how it works once you're out of the beginner stage kiddo. Especially when you're doing 1 hour of hard cardio 4-5 days a week.

            Keep in mind also that I'm not training for strength, just for hypertrophy

    Pretty good. I hoped for more gains on my squat and deadlift but struggled with an injury for 4 months and it still hasn't fully recovered. As far as stats go

    Squat 182.5kg -> 195-202.5kg (idk didn't test it yet)
    Bench 95kg -> 127.5kg (really happy with the progress on bench)
    Deadlift 190kg -> 207.5kg

    Ohp 72.5kg -> 85kg (didn't focus on it much)

    Bw 92kg -> 96kg

    I started at 195, I'm now 192. Not nearly the progress I hoped for but I didn't get any fatter so I guess it could be worse.
    On the plus side, my financial gains have been great and career is going well. Now I just gotta find one of those girls who cares more about a bank account than she does about abs.
