Cover your head with a bucket or something. If you can't see them, they can't see you

they are always glancing around. I remember when I complimented some guy on a lift one day and he told me he says he thinks my lifts are really good. Had that happen a bunch of times when I had a conversation with randoms or future gym bros.

If you're ugly no one pays any attention to you. Just like everywhere else you go.

Most of the people at the gym are thinking the same thing. It's ironic. Nobody is watching you and judging you.

I don't mind. I mean, I too a. concentrated on my lifts to care if somebody watching me squating (if they dont distracting me ofc).
Also, it is nice to get positive attention sometimes, like a last leg day, some regular counted weights on my leg press after i finished the set, complemented me and gave me a first bump.

I am not op but yes? Maybe not all people, but most of them, especially at the places which I frequently visit (like a gym).

I know they stand by the rack and watch me lift for an hour and a half like someone waiting for a parking spot lmao.

Just remind yourself that nobody cares about you and wouldn't notice or grieve if you killed yourself as you are a useless waste of space and a burden on everyone.

I always seek out obvious newcomers, people lifting beginner weight, people who I don't recognize, people who don't talk to anyone and just look at their phones out of insecurity, skinny dudes in big hoodies, etc and stare at them. usually they'll notice me and look awkward as they realize I'm watching their mediocre form. Usually they leave in a hurry, sometimes they'll do like one set and keep glancing over at me to confirm that I'm watching them.
On more than one occasion I never saw them again, and I vary the times I go since I have a home gym anyways. It's a thrill to discourage newbies and make them self-conscious.
