If you're outside of highschool/uni it's not a thing. Also, if you aren't already training I doubt you can even wrestle in university, they won't take you lol. Best you can do is join a bjj mcdojo.
Extreme amounts of cardio- Hard wrestling sessions can be so challenging it feels like a god damn spiritual experience by the end of practice.
Wrestlers, grapplers , MMA fighters push themselves so fricking hard.
Now on top of the most intense cardio / endurance workouts a human can endure throw in an organized weight lifting program on top of that- That wienertail will get you a wrestlers physique.
If you're an adult it will be hard to find a wrestling program willing to take you with little to no experience, might as well pick up nogi jiu jitsu at a reputable competitive school that pushes it's students.
Closest emulation of wrestling practice for an adult who doesn't have the option to join an organized wrestling team.
You wouldn't be able to hang. I do muy thai and bjj, long distance running, etc. Wrestling workouts are actually unbelievably hard.
Just bodybuild and focus on traps.
This. Wrestling isn't something you just do for fun. Even when you love wrestling you usually fricking hate it. It is way too grueling to just casually do for the aesthetics.
I have done every sport, type of fitness, and martial art under the sun. Wrestling is BY FAR the most mentally and physically challenging.
Train until you don't have a libido.
Fast your ass off before weight cuts, eat like shit after tournaments.
Looking like a wrestler is not best achieved by living like a wrestler. Lift weights instead.

>join wrestling gym
no way that’s a real thing
It’s not (at least in the USA)
OP, best you can do is judo, or if you don’t care about technique, a ton of calisthenics and throw a sandbag around
It's absolutely a thing in the US.
I’ve never seen a wrestling gym in the US. Usually the only access to wrestling is through high school or college programs. Care to share more info?
It is in the US. I went to one, but it was entirely in Russian.
