Everything in our lives went to absolute shit after my brothers were born because my parents became pathologically obsessed with caring for them and trying to cure them. My parents ended up grinding themselves into dust. They never took a single vacation or did anything for themselves. Eventually my mom had a severe nervous breakdown after she finally realized that they'd never get better and started crying and screaming constantly for weeks. She had to be institutionalized. And when she came back home, she tried to convince my dad to help her kill me and my brothers with guns and huge butcher's knives and then each other. And so we came super close to being one of those fricked up families that you see in the news where the parents kill all their kids then each other. She ended up just killing herself instead in order to protect us from herself. I had to fill her shoes when she died and help my dad care for my brothers. But eventually my dad completely wore himself out, both physically and psychologically, and couldn't care for them anymore. And so I had to do all of the heavy lifting by myself for a while. Eventually my dad felt bad about putting that level of burden on me, and so he finally agreed to have them taken care of outside of the house. Within months, one of them died from Covid pneumonia. Now my dad just sits in a recliner all day whispering and ranting to himself. It's completely fricked.
