I take a 5 min. nap
Until I feel like lifting again
1 hour nap in between sets
>1 hour nap in between sets
based and blaha-pilled
It depends. I always try to keep it as short as possible. It ends up between 2 and 4 minutes. If I want to push, it's just another variable to play with. 4 minutes always works for heavier work
>heavy compound
3 minutes
>light compound/most sets
2 minutes
>stretch and pump
1 minute
>1:30min warmups
>2:30min isolation
>3:30 - 4min heavy compounds
I rest for however long it takes me to do a single set. It makes the workout a lot more intense.
My gym coach used to make me and one other kid do that. He was trying to force us into joining the football team who actually got breaks and rest, but instead created two non-athlete students who put his prized pupils to shame
I saw this movie
what movie?
30 seconds
3-5 minutes for compounds, 1-3 minutes for accessories. Sometimes I go through my full routine with 1 minute between sets at a lower weight just to mix it up.
Depends... I do 5x5. On deload weeks I'll rest 1-1.5 mins. By week 7 I'm giving myself 3 minutes between the 4th and 5th set of each exercise.
>How long do you rest between each set?
I don't. I do calf raises, dead hangs and seated curls while I catch my breath and recover.
However long it takes me lifting partner to do his set. We just go one after the other, never talked it or planned it just how it goes.
I let the song finish, so around 3 minutes
I let myself finish so about 37 seconds
How many sets? Impressive if more than 3
heavy compounds around 3 minutes
isolations and supersets 60-90 seconds depending on how I'm feeling
however long i need, mostly longer though since more rest = more reps
until heart rate drops below 100
90 seconds has always been my standard. Only time I stretch to 2mins is deadlifts.
squat and deadlift 4 minutes
bench 3 minutes
rest 1.5 min
Sets?
3 minutes for main compound of the day, 2 minutes for assisting compounds, 60-90 seconds for isolation
I've always done 1 minute for everything but deads and squats and now I'm concerned that I'm not working hard enough.
>bench, pullups, squats
3 minutes
>everything else
2 minutes
Maximal or near maximal effort compounds I rest for 8-10 mins
was doing 2 mins, but switched to 2:30 for DL and squat
