How many months into lifting will I actually see progress?

I've been lifting for almost 3 months and I barely see any progress. Is my routine shit?

I didn't take a pic of myself when I started

Either your routine is shit, your diet is shit, your sleeping is shit, or your genetics are shit. Pack in it, or take roids and die within the next decade leaving a sexy corpse. Your choice

What kind of progress should I expect within 3 months?

you have been lifting for 3 months. you have been inside the gym probably couple dozen times. undubtedly your routine and training is also shit because you are literally a beginner. if you pick up idk golf and play for 3 months you suck dick. you suck massive homosexual bbc. and also if you have a dog shit body, it will take a whole lot longer to make a dent in your physique. like if you are really fricking fat, you probably still look just fricking fat. where as if you are super skinny and you train 3 months and eat 5000kcal, you can make pretty substantial difference in your physique.

    check back in 1-2 years

I go the gym 5 times a week, and I even do extra workouts at home with dumbbell. I just want to see some semblance of progress so I know I am on the right track

Don't forget to rest as well.
Well, are you seeing improvements in other things? Increased strength, better stamina, more energy? Don't get lost with tunnel vision.
Just keep at gradually making your habits more healthy and your desired results will come. Don't lose hope

I worked out for a year before covid hit then got sloppy and quit, and only got back into the grove 3 months ago.

My strength levels are close to what it was before I quit so that's pretty motivating. I just still look very similar to what I remember my body from the summer

cut the extra dumbbell workouts, go heavier when you're in the gym, rest more, eat less/better (skinnyfat=fat, simple as), finally, post routine

Welcome to lifting, moronic Black person homosexual.

    3 months? LOL

Even if your routine and nutrition wasn’t total trash (it is), and you had great coaching and perfect diet, you wouldn’t notice any change.

Infact, you never will notice any change. Body dysmorphia is insidious and you will never be aware of any progress unless other people you haven’t seen you tell you that you’re looking bigger and stronger. The thing with BD is that you’ll never truly believe them.

Welcome to the fold, homosexual. Lifting is a multi decade pursuit. Come back in 5 years and you’ll still probably look dyel.

Just do a bro split you gorilla Black person. Ppl is a meme routine.

Bro split is also a meme for a beginner unless you roid. Do SL/SS for the first 6 months and if you either stall hard, are satisfied with progress or are at least halfway to 1/2/3/4 for 5x5 then switch to something like a modified 5/3/1. Point is you won't grow on meme stuff like PPL or brosplits (unless you chemically castrate yourself).

No one who looks good does SS/SL.

In one month you should see results if you're training like a man.

wtf r U doing? I've been lifting literally 1.5 months and I'm seeing heaps of progress. already gained 4kg of lean muscle mass (can still see my skinny guy abs)

take some creatine and go gym daily.
I don't even push that hard. just be consistent and watch ya diet. take some testosterone supps and daily protein shake. make sure I get enough protein and dont eat too much fat/carbs.

I started noticing results one month in. Now its been a year since I started lifting and my body has changed drastically.

past my bedtime, cbf. gonna sleep. truth tho. the fact is that it's probably a result of the daily creatine intake for 5 weeks allowing my muscles to hold more water weight. otherwise the true gainz would be far less substantial cuz I train like a pussy and alone. would do better with a gym partner to push me but I just started, live alone, and am oldgay @33y.o. so don't really have the surge of growth hormones that kids and teens have.
