That can be a good thing. My bench is also quite bad. I'm naturally better at the overhead press. The result? My shoulders are bigger than the people benching 300lbs and it's insane. Be proud, you might have the gift. Make sure you train both still! You'll reap the rewards of both

Yep, def train both. I got massive Arnold pecs that overshadow my shoulders so had to catch up on those to get a big bench.

Shoulders good, chest not so good. Do some guillotine presses with a wide grip in addition to what you’re already doing.

Not a ton, probably 245-255 without turning it into a push press. For real, get good at OHP and your bench goes up. Prob my fav exercise now bc everyone expects you to squat then you don’t

I still feel like my bench is fairly weak compared to my other lifts. I can do 15 full-rom controlled pull-ups for 15 reps on a good day, but I usually do 12.
I can bench the bar for 1*12, but after that it's 1*6 and 1*4. I can bench 25kg (total) for 2 reps, but afterwards i cannot. When I started benching last week I could only do 4 reps with the bar, I'm progressing at a decent rate. Will go again tomorrow (taking my brother with my who hasn't gone in a very long time), and bench again. Hope to be able to do 2*12 by then. Next week I expect i can do 3*12 at 20kg total and 1*6 with 25kg.

Dumb bell: 90 lb for 8 reps
Barbell: 255 for 4 reps
90 in each hand or 45s? I can't imagine controlling 90s or even 70s enough to lay down with that weight.
Knees pump them to upright around shoulder level, then just control them as you lean back.

It all depends on your height, weight and what your goals are. If you only care about aesthetics a 2pl8 bench shouldn't even matter to you.
