I do Arnold presses instead. Why wouldn't I want to make the weights go a more bigger distance?

how much you do on barbell? i wonder what the carryover is like. is your dumbell weight roughly half your ohp?

70kg there's no way Id be able to hold the two 35kgs lol

        Really?
Go wider and check again. It's not like you're not using your shoulder, you certainly are. But if not feeling them maybe try going heavier or wider

It's definitely because I'm not going heavy enough but something about seated shoulder press with 25kg+ dumbbells scares me

I've got fricky shoulders and the bar seems to alleviate some of the pain

dumbbell is harder because it requires more stabilization and is more isolated

I can do ohp at 50kg for three sets of five reps but struggle to do 15kg dumbbells for three sets of ten reps. I always find dumbbell much more difficult than barbell with chest as well

I can do 30kg dumbbells for about 8 reps as my first set and drop the weight after that. I can do 2pl8 with the barbell. I hate standing ohp and haven't done it in years.
