"Bulking" is a roider thing. Your body composition will take care of itself if you eat enough real food to support good hormones, while lifting hard.
It's not about calories it's about hormones. Hormones determine your body composition. You can eat 1000 cals extra daily and lose fat, it's really common on a diet like carnivore and conversely you can go on a starvation diet of salads and only lose muscle. It's all about hormones you would think bodybuilders would know this more than anyone. Time to let go of the CICO junk science.

Weight yourself every day, take the median for every week, and see if the discrepency for this and last week matches these numbers. If it doesn't, you're becoming a fatty. If it does, you're becoming muscular.
