Run slower.
Get a dog to run with
Ran 17km yesterday at just under a 5min/km pace
You could say im experienced
Then: 6 days a week, sometimes doubling morning and evening sessions. 31:3× 10k 69:3x HM
Now: sprint training for shits and giggles 2-3 sessions a week - not HIIT, proper sprint focussed training complete with dodgy looking drills. Also 2 days gym.
What I learnt:
Mix up distances and speeds so you don't go stale or one-paced.
Don't do too many hard/intense days in a row (hard easy hard easy etc) as you will wreck yourself long term.
Running quickly is fun. It can also hurt and you can't do it every run.
Get out in the country (unless it tries to kill/eat you or is full of abandoned landmines) for a change of scene.
Set a target /race but don't KYS if you don't get there. "It's a journey"
Progress will be up and down, that's the way it goes.
Be patient and don't rush increasing load.
>How often do you run?
Almost never.
>Tips for making running more enjoyable?
Don't.
Running is one of the lowest ROI forms of exercise. It has the most impact on your joints and heart while not burning that much fat for your effort.
If your goal is to shed off body fat, go for swimming. Burns like multiple times the amount of body fat and is so much easier on your body.
Swimming laps around a pool is boring
>inb4 swim outside!
It's winter. I swim out in a lake in the summer
I run whenever my triathlon regime tells me to. 2-4 times a week.
As for fun, run outdoors somewhere there is natural foliage to look at. If you have to run indoors, listen to tech death metal.
Unrelated, but running injuries are like any other gym injury. Theyre caused by bad technique and over exerting yourself at the same time.
>Don't do too many hard/intense days in a row (hard easy hard easy etc)
Meant hard easy etc OK. If you do string two hard days together have some reasonable rest/recovery days afterwards.
>Tips for making running more enjoyable?
Wear something interesting, like colorful tights, a bodysuit, short shorts and nothing else (like your photo), etc.
Run diffent ways
3-5 days a week short easy runs 10-15 minutes
1 day endurance day
1 day speed work/sprinting/hiit
>How often do you run?
Every single day, no rest for me
>Tips for making running more enjoyable?
Don't listen to music or any of that shit, if you can find a nice trail near a river then it's way better than any track.
I run with my mom on Sundays to help her train for her first, and probably last, half marathon.

>how to make running more enjoyable
I bought one of these suckers after running with earbuds for 14 years and I've been enjoying the ambience along with mogging passerbys with my superior music taste. It's a decent volume to clip on my waistband. Barely noticeable weight. Traffic noise does drown it out.
