What are your b12 and ferritin levels
Hormone panel? SHBG, estradiol, prolactin, etc?
        Got any stomach issues?

          Anonymous

I take vitamin so my b12 is probably higher than normal, as for the other stuff I'm not sure, I do something have stomach issues but that's probably due to stress and anxiety

Yeah b12 stays in your system 3-4 months after supplementation so that's not worth checking in itself but you really should check folate and get an iron panel done at least. Low iron/b12 can cause anxiety and TONS of other shit. Ever take antibiotics or oral steroids? That alone is enough to mess up your gut and cause malabsorption. Which in turn can cause anxiety.

Would taking probiotics be better than taking vitamins if healthy guy means more vitamin absorption?

              >I have no friends and I don't really have anyone to talk to except my coworker
Try to talk with your coworkers outside of work too. Maybe invite them out for drinks if there's a few cool people. It is insane how much of a difference just talking to a few people makes to my sleep, now that i don't live in a shared space anymore.

My coworkers are pretty chill and often offer to give me a lift with their car etc but I'm too socially anxious and moronic to befriend them, they are also like 20 years older than me

I took some melatonin and woke up during the night and felt like I was on a hallucinogen.. started seeing colorful tesseracts and shieeet wtf??

Melatonin made me feel like I took speed and when I managed to fall asleep while on it I was getting shizo level dreams

            Oh yeah few other things
B9 is folate and makes your b12 inactive if it's low basically so you'll get low b12 symptoms that worsen over time.
B6 is water soluble, which means it's not easy to OD, but you can get toxicity from it unlike b12, which can really frick you up. So that's worth checking. If your supp contains it, and in doses excess of 5mgs, that's bad.
If your B vitamins are methylated you may react badly to them. I myself overmethylate.
Folic acid is an artifical form of b9 that people with the MTHFR gene mutation (effects about 40% of all people,) can't break down, which can cause symptoms. This may be in your supplements. It's in virtually every ~~*american*~~ wheat/gluten containing product as well.

Did you know that if you lift hard enough or do enough cardio or other physically exhausting things you can fall asleep easily if you don't abuse caffeine? I used to get insomnia all the time, then I decided to start focusing on higher volume and intensity while also cutting out any caffeine after noon and noe I fall aslepp within 2 minutes of getting in bed.

This post. You’re mind is too active. Lay down in bed and turn off your mind and it’s impossible to stay awake. I like to use the wim hof breathing method to enter a relaxed state then I empty my mind

It's the same for me no matter what I do. And my life is not stressful or full of anxiety. I just can't fricking sleep normally. It's basically a gamble because if I lay down and feel like my bed is too hard it means one thing - the night will be long and sleepless

I feel you as i used to be the same.
You absolutely have to start meditating.
for the sole sake of sleeping however i wouldn't
recommend what the other anon said in the start. This is because "traditional" meditation methods train you to achieve stable single pointed focus (on the breath) and help with introspection but they do not give specific techniques for dealing with deep rooted anxiety eg fear of going to sleep and the body's tendency to panic when going to bed as it has associated it with insomnia (trust me on that one, i experienced it firsthand for two years in a highly demanding job, i wanted to off myself back then...)
I suggest you to download Dr. Guy meadow's "the sleep book" (avalaible in zlibrary, or on anna's archives) : how to sleep every night.
it's extremely fricking good, the only book i know of which has worked for me, and it cured my mother and my grandfather's insomnia too.
Stick to it and trust me you're going to sleep damn well. Happy gains bro.

If you really want advice, please post:
    Current sleep schedule
    Current diet
    Do you work?
How much screen time per day
    Screen time before bed?
    When do you work out?
    Do you take any supplements
How much caffeine do you drink?

      >Current sleep schedule
I try to go to sleep at 11pm and wake up at 8am, although it's impossible to sleep till at least 1am because I live in a noisy household
      >Current diet
Veggies, meat, soups and in the evening I usually have microwave meals
      >Do you work
      Yes
      >Screen time before bed
I usually browse IST before trying to sleep, I don't look at my phone when I can't sleep at night
      >When do you work out
Around 5-6pm is when I hit the gym, I only work out on MWF
      >Do you take any supplements
Recently started taking magnesium complex and ashwaganda
      >How much caffeine do you drink
      Literally none

Sleep schedule looks good enough, diet looks fine, make sure you magnesium complex isn't oxide based, and try to not be in front of any screens at least 2 hours before bed. The blue light messes up your circadian rhythm.

        >noisy household
bingo. download a white noise generator, play it through a bluetooth speaker, and use decent quality earplugs. most of the noise will be gone except for fat people stomping around upstairs or little Black person kids banging on pots and pans.

Eat extremely plain food for a week to see if it's caused by digestive issues. No gluten, no lactose, no FODMAPs, low fibre - literally plain white rice and chicken thighs (for the fats over breast as your diet will be so limited.)

Even the ancients knew that insomnia was caused by intestinal derangement - they wrote about it all the time. If your body is struggling to digest food or your intestines are irritated, you will wake up.

Eat good saturated fat to sooth the nerves - raw salmon for example.
Before bed consume some raw milk with honey. Also a banana can be blended into the drink.

Honest and true answer from ex-insomnia enjoyer:
1 - avoid blue light at least 2 hours before bed. I personally use a really strong blue light filter on my phone for this, but otherwise i try to stay away from my PC for at least 1 hour before bed. I also use coloured LED lights that slowly turn reddish 2 hours before i head to bed.
2 - consistent sleep schedule. ALWAYS wake up within half an hour of what you woke up the day before. Even if you fell asleep at 4, wake up at 8. The first few days will be literal hell, but on the 3rd or 4th day, you will get amazing sleep.
3 - do shit. Probably the most important of all of these. Human were never meant to shitpost for 12 hours straight on a mongolese throat-singing forum. We evolved to talk with people (VERY IMPORTANT), exercise, and think. If we haven't done this for an entire day, there is absolutely no fatigue in our body.
4 - Keep a cool room. The importance of this is on a person-by-person basis, but i personally cannot sleep if it's over 17 degrees (in yuropoor units). Your body actually drops in temperature when you start to fall asleep, so having a cool sleeping space helps.

The best advice i can give you to get out of a fricked sleep schedule is to pressure yourself to just do shit the entire day. It will genuinely be hell, but if you get through the entire day through pure adrenaline and willpower, you will fall asleep.

    Good luck, anon.

      >do shit
I try to leave the house as much as possible, mainly because I live with people I hate, but there isn't much to do outside the house besides walking the dog and gym, also my job involves a lot of walking and manual labour
      >We evolved to talk with people (VERY IMPORTANT)
I have no friends and I don't really have anyone to talk to except my coworker

You have to learn to meditate. Or at least, that's what worked for me. Don't fall in the trap of thinking you can force yourself to sleep or somehow control you sleep thats stupid and moronic like many suggestions here. Your body has evolved to sleep by doing nothing. To learn to do nothing and not mind wander aimlessly you have to learn to meditate. Anything else is a short term fix and will do you more harm than good. Good luck.

I went through something similar for two years after I had a really bad panic attack right before bed. I tried a lot to fix it, but it went away once I moved in with someone else, I think my brain wasn't able to relax because I was living on my own.
