I went to the gym with buddies in my teens and didnt get anything done properly. I started lifting alone in uni and loved it. Now years later i get invited to the gym by coworkers sometimes but i always brush it off, they probably have shit workout plan and they would only slow me down having to shitchat while training.
I get it people are different, but for me lifting alone is best.
Are you moronic or something? Lifting solo is thousand times more efficient. If you need a spot just ask anyone. Do you think that someone will acutally say "No, i won't waste couple seconds of my rest to help you out."?
Lifting with someone makes everything harder and more complicated. The only way this shit can work if you both are built the same and use exact same weights and setup for lifting (which never happens).
>moving a few plates around between sets or adjusting a bench is too complicated
homie what? My brother is 3 inches shorter than me and we move the bar up and down a peg between squat sets, even with 365 it's not a big deal. Quit being moronic. You're literally complaining about having to lift weights in a fricking gym.
>You're literally complaining about having to lift weights in a fricking gym.
You are LITERALLY fricking moronic. Moving shit around and adjusting equipement every fricking set takes time and energy. It adds up and you are only wasting your time stamina. You gain absolutely nothing from "having a gym partner".
>Moving shit around and adjusting equipement every fricking set takes time and energy. It adds up and you are only wasting your time stamina.
At this point Idk whether to just laugh at your autism or sandbag you further into explaining how you think stripping a 45 off the bar a few extra times per workout is sabotaging your superoptimal science based workout plan.
If you are unable to do something as simple as lifting by yourself effectively it's probably because you have some kind of dependency complex and/or too ADHD.
Same >heres that loner again
Yeah they probably do for the brief moment that you came in their field of vision, which I also think "heres this npc dyel again that chats more than train".
OP is moronic for wanting partners, I want to make whatever last rep face I want without being self conscious with someone watching me intently.
I have a group of friends that whenever we went to the gym to lift together, we'd put more than we do normally (while having lots of fun together), though whenever we meet together at the gym is pretty rare.
I also have another group of friends that while lifting together did results, they generally weren't on time or would just double my time at the gym because of the chitchat.
Overall I go alone, gym is more like an obligatory thing for every male to me anyways.
>working out at my college gym >random guy comes up to me and asks to work in >he starts chatting with me about how he sees me there all the time >he eventually starts hovering around me in the gym to work out with me >he can’t do pull-ups which is a part of my back routine >he doesn’t like to squat or train legs much >he always wants to compete with me to see who lifts more >he talks my ear off about God and Kingdom Hearts in between sets >I start going to the gym at different times to avoid him >whenever he sees me on campus, he walks beside me and just stares at me until I notice him
And this is why I work out by myself at the gym. For every cool gym bro, there’s like 5 weird people who make the experience super awkward.
Why do you need a partner? You could just ask anyone for a spot if you need to.
It seems much easier without a partner. What do you mean harder?
You should join CrossFit if you need workouts to be social activities.
>how the frick do you losers live without life partners? it makes the experience 5x harder
also true

lifting with partners will lead you to spend more time and focus less on your workouts. you clearly are a noob if you think otherwise
By autistically following my regime and nervously walking around and sipping water on rest breaks.
gym partners interfere with gains. i do my best solo

you never liked lifting in the first place, you liked hanging out
1 I have a home gym
2 Partners usually just slow you down
i lift solo at home and if i die i die. did banded decline once and it was exhilarating
my brother in iron
Im always by myself at the gym and I'm becoming paranoid that people are like heres that loner again.

It's easy, I'm a 45 year old virgin ex-schizo and I lift to keep the voices away.
Because it turns a 40min workout into a 1:20 hour workout. Plus I have no friends they all slowly exited my life
Depends on the friends you go with.
