use moisturizer and apply sunscreen whenever you go outside even on days that are overcast. avoid making facial expressions that create creases in your forehead, around your eyes, or along the nasolabial folds since they will eventually form into deep permanent wrinkles. neutral expressions only. avoid drinking, smoking, or becoming obese. stay hydrated. follow these simple tips and enjoy having nice smooth skin well into your 50’s
am I being crazy for not wanting to use off the shelf moisturizers? I feel like I'm just slathering myself in petroleum products. I feel like they give the feeling of more "hydrated skin" but I'm just touching some goyslop, and once it dissipates my skin becomes reliant on it or something.
Is there some non-cucked version I can buy? Should I slather myself in EVOO?
Advice please
there are different categories of moisturizer that serve different purposes. humectants (hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, etc) will hydrate your skin by drawing in moisture. you apply them to a lightly dampened face and they will make your skin feel somewhat tacky/dewy. these are nice because the whole purpose of moisturizing is to have well hydrated skin, but the water that they draw in can evaporate through the process of trans-epidermal water loss. hence why there are also occlusives (petroleum jelly, lanolin, etc) which are oils that provide a layer to lock the hydration in. the molecules are too large to absorb through the pores, so they sit on top of the surface to form a protective barrier. they will make your skin feel heavy/greasy. lastly you will hear about emollients, which is just a product that contains a particular combination of both humectant and occlusive ingredients. they are meant to be an "all in one" sort of product that hydrates, provides barrier protection, and fills in the cracks in your skin to provide a smoother appearance.
if you are specifically concerned about petrolatum then you can stick to products that use lanolin as their occlusive, which is essentially sheep sebum extracted during the process of harvesting wool. picrel seems to be a product that uses lanolin and aloe vera. it's not one that i have used personally but it seems to have good reviews
i tried doing a bit more searching, but if you're really concerned then you're probably better off just making your own from base ingredients. something like these

you can play around with the ratios of everything and then refrigerate so it lasts longer
Thank you fren, that was nice of you.
Getting aloe leaf is a pain in the ass but I will try.
Would this be ok to use with retinol?

you are welcome and i hope you can find some without trouble. retinol looks to be fine, i'd apply the retinol first then wait ~20 mins for it to set before applying the moisturizer

What do you think about just a aloe and jojoba oil mix for a moisturiser?

hmm jojoba oil is nice for skin but apparently only has only mild occlusive properties, so it's prolly still good to include something else alongside it like shea butter, cocoa butter, or lanolin. this should also create a thicker texture which would make it easier to use compared to something less viscous

Everyone seems to say shea butter is good, so could try that.

Embrace the fact that you're becoming older. Nothing is more embarrassing than 40+ year olds clinging to youth. As with all things, work with what you have, don't chase delusions.

A girl I was dating who had perfect skin was using pic related. Bought it myself and after about 6 months it's like I've aged a few years backwards. Satanic black magic, sick shit
There is good moisturiser but it is the expensive stuff, I have very little confidence in the stuff you can get for less than ten bucks at a generic pharmacy or superstore.
Wasn't this chud revealed to be a israelite?
He practices the kabbalah, that's like the elite satanist magic system for top israelites.

stay happy
rule #1 be based. rule #2 eat meat. rule #3 use bodylotion.
Don't smoke, don't be fat, don't go into the sun excessively without sunscreen, apply moisturizer regularly.
This is all you need to do as male, our skin isn't as soft and sensitive as female skin.
1. stay lean
2. keep your hair
that's it. you'll never be truly young again but you can become a silver fox instead of an old creep

What do you mean, like it gets rid of wrinkles?
Gets rid of small wrinkles and minimizes the rest. And makes the skin look much healthier and plump. It's fricking expensive though
How much does it cost you to run per month?
About $100 or so a month
Oh fug, between child support and test I can't float that, but thanks anon it I'm ever in a better spot I'll look at it

Lol frick this Murdoch puppy. Why americans are so dumb?
Why did Tucker rape his own kids? I’m not saying Tucker is a rapist but lots of people are saying Tucker rapes boys. Idk just something to think
Ew.
Tucker dyes his hair and wears makeup. Hard to look old.
Everyone who looks good older does cardio (or lived a lifestyle where they were incredibly active).
The people who just lift look terrible.
You age gracefully by not trying to hide your are aging or changing your personality
Keep your hair. As a man that's pretty much the number one thing that ages you.
