How to get over gym anxiety?

There's a new gym opening near me and I'm thinking about joining. I'm antisocial and hyper self-conscious. I feel like everyone is always staring at me in public. I've lost 40 pounds since June doing OMAD and some walking but I know I need to do more.

Depends if you're a targeted individual or not. If you're not, literally just stop being a b***h and get over it
If you are a TI, then the game becomes complex. Go as early as possible, off peak hours, etc
I'm a target and i found a 24 hour gym with self check-in. This keeps me away from as many ass licking brown nose trash subhumans as possible. But they still find their way in like the wienerroaches they are.

It's like prison. Go up to the biggest guy there and punch him. Then everyone will respect you and leave you alone.

      take your schizo meds
but if it's not that serious, gym might be good exposure therapy for your social anxiety. if it's too much you might want to go out and do less social activities like having lunch in a cafe.

The same way you get over any anxiety. Yes you'll feel fear, but you have to push through that. Over time, you won't be afraid anymore. There's no magic formula

it’s not like there are millions of videos like that, it probably happens to 1 out of every 10000 people (if that). Just don’t literally die doing squats or bench press and you won’t become a meme. I dropped a 45 lb plate on my foot once and no one around me even acknowledged it happened or looked at me. I could probably fart super loud doing squats and I wouldn’t even get a smile out of anyone nearby. Everyone is awkward dude and nobody gives af what anyone else is doing.

No-one cares about other people really, just be polite, ask if the machine or w/e is being used if someone is nearby and return the weights to the racks.

Put in headphones, and just ignore people. Do a trial run and go and get extreme anxiety and then notice how nothing happens, nobody will say anything to you, nobody cares, people are just there to workout. Hardest part for you will just be signing up. You can always just email them and say you have social anxiety and don’t want to talk to anyone kek. Also, try going like an hour before the gym closes, there aren’t as many people around that time.

Go there and have someone give you a very detailed tour, make yourself really familiar with the place, the layout, how the machines work, everything. If you want to lift on that same day, have a workout plan ready. The next time you go and are on your own you are already prepared and know what you are doing.
