    Incline bench and other upper chest exercises. Flat bench is fine but ultimately unnecessary and can even be a determent if you overdevelop the lower pecs

    guys on the left are suffering from downlighting

    that said, steve reeves (far right) was known for being an early user if not inventor of the incline bench. look up "reeves bench press" and you'll probably only see him doing incline

    i recommend you avoid flat bench entirely. at the very least, never isolate lower chest

      it's the same movement though, the same supidity verging on cryminality

      chest is made for compression, so that u can push ur palms together and hold something in between them, put ur palms together, protract shoulders, forearms in line - hold the tension for 40 seconds, literally watch as middle of ur chest becomes alive and engorged with blood after years, decades of moronic impingment movements - it's glorious
      it won't get upper though, for upper u need upper chest clavicular dumbbell raise:

      don't listen to the imbecile who wrote script for jeff though, unilaterally, one hand at a time, that's the rule for everything really but with this for certain - 2 dumbbells will simply get in the way and it's always better because u can compare sides and improve on form and u can tilt torso appropriately if need be, with bilateral work it's impossible

      i think its just the poses plus the black and white camera and how the shadows are hitting it. you can find some absurd pictures like this of reg park out there. his chest did not look like this irl this is all weird shadows

    focus on incline bench. Powerlifting style bench press basically turns it into a decline bench press, which focuses on the lower parts of your chest.
