kratom? isn't this fake weed you can buy at head shops and gas stations? how do you get addicted to it, does it do anything to you? I thought it was a placebo or something

It's actually "fake heroin". My coworkers wife is addicted to it. She described it like taking pain killers or shooting h. It totally destroyed her libido and she stole money from her 13 yo son to buy the shit.

Its absolutely not fake heroin. I have done both oxycodone and kratom and its nowhere close to oxycodone in fact its not even close to codeine. Both oxycodone and codeine are weaker than heroin

It’s better than vicodin in that it feels the same but no itchy nose or liver pain. Unless you are a moron like OP taking 30g a day.

lmao taking kratom regularly gave me a full body eczema flare up in my early 20s

That sucks, when I tried making traditional kava swamp water every day to quit drinking it gave me skin issues, but kratom has had no skin side effects for me after 7 years of daily use under 5g. I will say that it kills libido and I shit every two days. Only reason I take it is to keep me off alcohol.

I buy a $60 bottle of capsules and take maybe 5g a day, last me a long time. Never increased the dose in 7 years. How are you taking so much and not being totally constipated and nauseous all day? Did you come to Kratom after harder opiates?

Jesus Christ bro, you can get a whole kilogram online for $80-150, how fricking much do you take a day to blow 250 a week? I felt bad taking 20mg a day, now I feel waaaaaaay better about my life.

I've quit kratom many times. Use gabapentin. Take like 900mg a couple times a day.

Not OP but Gabapentin is 10x more addictive than Kratom for me. Gabapentin is the perfect high for me but I stopped refilling my prescription because it’s just weeks of mania and a huge crash. Phenibut is a much less addictive version of gabapentin in my experience, but still tricky.

You are unironically a pussy. Kratom withdrawals are just like caffeine withdrawals in severity. They aren't shit. I don't understand how you can get a dependence to the stuff. I've done it a bunch and I'm pretty take it or leave it. It's not that cool of a drug. Pussy.

Not OP but that's the thing. It's highs are alright and it's lows are meh, so it's such an inconsequential drug it's easy to not take seriously until you've fully become habituated to it.

Like [...]this guy said, the withdrawls aren't shit. What gets you is the absolutely painful boredom and the knowledge that the only pressing reason whatsoever not to do it is money, which isn't a wholesale issue but a one expense at a time issue. Just one more is never as bad as the reality of how much you're totally spending.

      [...]
All that said, you clearly just don't want it that bad. The "withdrawls" at their worst are headaches, painful boredom, demotivation, and diarrhea. And it's over after a few days. Literally just stop. Take some nyquil to sleep through the nights. Smoke a black and mild at the end of the day to cope with the dopamine drought. It's over before you know it.

Except this time when it's over, you have to continue NOT BUYING KRATOM.

Whenever I quit my usual 6g per day my only withdrawal symptom is bad insomnia because of the restless legs feeling like electricity surging through them ALL night. It’s fine during the day but I can’t sleep. I would imagine the morons that dose 20g a day have way worse symptoms. The worst mental withdrawals I’ve had are from lyrica/gabapentin, takes a good week to not feel paranoia and extreme depression.

same experience. I used the take anywhere from 4-9gs a day. The withdrawals really just consisted of restless legs and insomnia. I just made sure to actually get tired during the day by hitting legs and running, as well as magnesium maxxing. Stretching also felt realllllly good while "withdrawing" so I just coped myself into that positive lol. Was good after 3 or 4 days

Kratom is great for hangovers, it doesn't help with them it eliminates it after 40 min and you feel like a million dollars.
Just sucks because now I drink way more than I should hangover will not be an issue.

I keep trying it and I just don’t get it. It makes me feel kinda better I guess? It’s just a big waste of money. You can keep it.

Buy some liposomal vitamin C, quit cold turkey or taper. If you experience withdrawals such as restless leg syndrome or cold sweats, take the vitamin C, it damn near, if not completely, gets rid of the effects. The withdrawals will last for a few weeks, peaking at 2 weeks, but you'll make it. The rest is all willpower. I've quit before for like 5-6 months, after 2 years of daily use, relapsed like a pussy because of a break up, and now I'm back to 6 months sober. It was good until you realize it's the only thing that makes you feel anything. I'd rather feel pain then be numb and feel artificial. You can do it anon.

    it's really easy honestly
be glad you've never dealt with something difficult to quit if kratom is tough for you
