Problem is this is very far down on the medical advancement priority list and would have to use insane technology.
Even prosthetic arms don’t need to use synthetic muscles, motors are more effective, simpler and cheaper. At what point in humanity’s future will we put billions of dollars into researching individual cell expansion and contraction nanotechnology all to make ourselves robo-jacked.
It’s more likely if anything that we would use a wire to tendon interface with motors and skip the muscles all together. Then everyone would look like skeletons with lumps in the middle of their joints.

fibers that contract in response to electrical impulses will probably be really useful in industrial applications, robomuscles might come as a byproduct of more general material science advances

Considering most high tier technology is moving towards a subscription model means you would have to continue buying whatever they need to run it. It would cost a constant stream of money and if you can no longer afford to pay your muscle would be gimped.

Sounds expensive and unnecessary unless for serious medial reasons.

It's like saying why buy a solid gold ring when you could have a gold plated ring

Just for muscles in general, not for roiders, roider muscles are real muscles but it's like they stole the gold to make the ring

There's a multimillion dollar industry where autists on Discord jerk off to so much porn that they convince each other that they're actually meant to be girls all along, and the best they can do in current year is have a doctor take a power drill to their penis, removing their ability to orgasm or feel any sort of pleasure from that organ, and spend the rest of their lives shoving a glass dildo up their neovagina for hours a day while their body tries to heal what it considers an open wound.

So no I think synthetic muscles will be just as horrible and I'll stick with the ones God gave me

They won't cope, they'll be the first in line to get them.

Enjoy having your motor functions be entirely dependent on society, having limbs that can't heal, and getting your limbs turned off remotely if you're unable to pay your subscription anymore or if you do a wrongthink. Guess what happens if they decide that you no longer qualify for spare parts.
Also, I hope you like electric shocks, because that's exactly what you'll be feeling whenever you're even near powerlines, radio emitters or microwaves.
      >I will end
You are at the mercy of any random guy who has an emp jammer.

Haven't you watched robocop? There are like 5 movies showing you in great detail why it's a bad idea and how this shit is gonna get misused.

Btw, in Deus Ex the augmented muscles are powered by bioelectric energy, which comes from the user's diet. You're going to be eating a shitload.

      I thought about this

The virgin cybernetics vs the chad CRISP stem cell therapy

Instead of implanting robot muscles you just alter your gentic code to filter shit like carbon fibers and different muscle fiber patterns into your biological body, being a mutant in other words

Protip: It won't be like in your cool games or movies the same way transhumanism now amounts to freaks of nature and mentally ill people

The human body is a very complex wonder of nature and possibly god. This cyberpunk things never pan out the way you think they would.

The weakpoint of any synthetic muscle or prosthetic limb will always be where it attaches to the biological human. It's no use having an arm that can lift 200kg if doing so causes it to tear off from your body.

    Full prosthesis or nothing
