Not as good. You need carbs to lift hard and build muscle. You can do it on carnivore but it's slower and more difficult and way less fun.

      there isn't a "carnivore diet"

      humans don't eat like that

The only issue with carbs is that they make me tired, especially if its bread or rice. The best I feel consistently long term is carnivore + semen retention, but I'm 6'1 165 lbs. I was 190 lbs a year ago before carnivore diet and stronger

Concisely describing the pattern is defining himself by meme shit? Would he be less constrained if he said "eating only meat and not jerking off"? Why? It's the same meaning

In terms of health: It's the best possible diet you can be on, as it's the default and optimal diet for human beings. It has also made me insatiably horny and egotistically confident, so that's a plus.

In terms of building muscle: I've been doing carnivore for 2 months now and I've been lifting for a little over three years. I had plateau'd for quite some time until starting carnivore. Since starting carnivore 2 months ago, it's the first time time in about a year that my lifts have started to progress again and I'm becoming noticeably leaner and bigger. Not to mention my lifts are going up DESPITE being in a caloric deficit, so that's proof enough that you CAN progress while being in a deficit. I don't really know what else to add.

I would post my body, but I don't own any device that has a camera, besides my 3DS, but I accidentally bricked it a couple of years ago, so... yeah...

      >as it's the default and optimal diet for human beings
Why? Humans are natural omnivores. A quick look at history or our teeth would say that.

Also stuff like how humans can’t create our own vitamin C and need to get it from fruits/vegetables

        Anonymous

Wrong, we are obligate carnivores, which is why we can survive entirely on meat and nothing but meat and end up with no nutritional deficiencies, but can't survive on purely plant matter. Our bodies literally don't need anything other than meat. Simply because we CAN eat other kinds of food matter, it doesn't mean we're MEANT to eat it. I mean, frick, cats and dogs can eat vegetables, cows can eat meat and it won't immediately kill them, it doesn't mean they're SUPPOSED to eat them, but by your logic, they're technically omnivores.

Also, the teeth argument is moronic. The reason we don't have sharp teeth isn't because we evolved to be omnivores, it's because we had sharp tools that we could use in place of things like sharp teeth and claws. If we never invented tools, yet still hunted animals we would have evolved sharp teeth by now. Never use this flawed line of reasoning again.

Also stuff like how humans can’t create our own vitamin C and need to get it from fruits/vegetables

Wrong. Contrary to popular belief, meat actually does contain vitamin C. And not only that, but when you go zero-carb, you don't even need that much vitamin C anyway, as carbs inhibit vitamin C absorption, since they compete with each other for absorption. So when you have no carbs in your body, instead of needing 100s of milligrams of vitamin C, you only need micrograms. And also, plenty of meat products contain tens of milligrams of vitamin C, which is more than enough to prevent scurvy, and is especially more than enough when you're zero-carb.

Carbs are anabolic. That said, Mediterranean is a low-ish protein diet that’s for longevity not muscle building.
Carnivore is dumb and it’s funny that it’s the new meme diet being pushed to fatties

Carnivore is awful for muscle. You need carbs to keep a intense workout

      Anonymous

I'm doing carnivore and I'm doing an intense workout right now and performing even better than I did with carbs. I'm building muscle and I've been able to increase my intensity. Stop speaking from ignorance. In fact, how about you, at the very least, just TRY going carnivore for just a month? Just one measly month, that's all. At least then you would be able to speak from experience, instead of just incorrectly guessing.

Not that dude and this was back before the carnivore meme but I did around 6 months of "steak & eggs" though I ate other meat and liver too.
The only thing I can say about energy levels, weight loss, focus, strength training, etc. is that it was adequate. That's it, adequate. Eating a normal omnivorous diet with carbs was like smashing that turbo button, I could always push myself that much harder, have that much more intensity with the carbs. Even when I felt like I was at 100% effort I could *always* push it to 120%.

Carnivore/0 carb/steak&eggs is alright I guess, but omnivore chads will always win.

          >this is objectively false
Lol. As if I could be wrong about my own experience, moron.

          >youre mind controlling yourself into a religion
Dude, settle down, it's just a diet. It's not that deep. Stop being so hostile, defensive, and antagonistic, there's no need for it. It's not that serious, it's not that big of a deal. You're not altruistic and you're not saving me from something potentially harmful. Stop being a hypochondriac and stop blowing things out of proportion. Stop being a drama queen.

          >because you didn't have a dad
I have a very loving father and he supports my choices wholeheartedly. He's even thinking of trying carnivore to see if it will clear up some of his problems.
