Wouldn’t it be better just to use the weight as a number to record the progression of resistance, when in reality what we’re here to work on is our inner selves, showing up, sticking to a routine, and keeping a little healthy while living an otherwise balanced life you fricking lunatic?
Oh also I only do it with a slight incline now. Like 30 degrees. I used to do 45 degrees, but I don't think it was hitting the top chest anywhere near as much if at all.
>spend money and gym space on dedicated incline bench >not even adjustable, stuck at terrible 45 degrees incline >no safeties
Might be the dumbest equipment in any gym, an adjustable bench and whatever shitty squat rack is more functional.
my gym is like this and it's so fricking gay. there's always some Black person just sitting on it while looking at tinder for two hours. i end up having to just do db most of the time
I do a big powerlifter arch on the 45 degree incline and that seems to have the desired effect. I'd probably reduce the angle by one and focus less on arching if I had the choice.
>won't have a nice day without a spotter
that's the point. fear of death is the ultimate motivation to lift the weight. if you can't take the risk you're ngmi
>MY SHOULDERS ACK!!!
prefer incline dumbbell press myself, less restrictive movement
also built more strength and gains for some reason, probably the extra stability requirements
>everyone saying this hurts their shoulders
This feels BETTER on my shoulders than both flat bench and OHP. It feels like a very natural press, what the frick are you guys talking aboot
Nah man people do this shit standing up.
They just call it OHP for some reason.
Yeah, because you are not supposed to do 45 degree, it fricks up your joints. Its like saying, drinking bleach humbles you.
Cope
>he hasn't bleachmaxxed
ngmi

sorry but I'm straight
No it doesn't? I literally always start off with incline

All I ever do is Incline and Flat. With Dumbells, since they feel better than Barbell and you won't fricking have a nice day without a spotter.
I used to enjoy DB Flyes, but they gave me disgusting stretch marks at the top of my biceps.

Did 6-7 sets with this for the first time yesterday, it's great
>tfw almost 1pl8 3x10, can only do 10-9-8
I'm weak as shit but getting there
WHY IS THIS SO MUCH HARDER THAN NORMAL BENCH
AAAAAAA
