most of these come with a lock you can set though, if you don't set it and hurt yourself on a failed rep it's like sitting down with the bar instead of bailing on a squat, your own fault
you're not helpless anon, make sure you're being safe doing whatever it is
The biggest risk of this machine is on your lower back. Unironically wearing a belt and squatting is safer for your lower back. >b-but muh back pad
Doesn't help if your back is already compromised.
yeah i’ve noticed when i full rom and heavy weight that my ass comes up and im basically buttwinking in the machine. can definitely see where dyel morons can injure themselves if they aren’t considering form, even in a basic machine like the leg press
>So how do I keep my pelvis from sneeding
Try changing up your stance. Wider or narrower and toes pointed further out or straight forward. See what combination helps.
is there any difference between these and the ones where the push-off area is at the bottom and the moveable area is the actual bench youre on?
it feels like thats way more natural in terms of squatting motion
I do both. Usually I reserve the heavy weights for squat, and do more moderate high rep work with the leg press. I love to do 3.5pl8 squat sets followed quickly by lighter sets on the leg press then hop over to the leg extension immediately after. 12 working sets, blasts the thighs
You have seen maybe one or two videos of irresponsible people
It's way safer than meme exercises such as squatting and deadlifting
the truth
>meme machines are safer than barbells
Yeah and what about it homosexual
Just the design of it is insane
Should never be used
it's safe, anon

Just don't lock your legs. It's that simple.
No way this is ever a good idea, regardless of what famous writers, lifters, etc use it
It just does not make sense
>tfw I have hyperextended banana knees
it's over... well not really, I just squat

Same but I also butwink at depth for squat. So how do I keep my pelvis from sneeding

Brethren,
Why do we put ourselves in these contraptions when all we need are free weights?
>Why choose more effective methods when inferior methods are available
You can't just make things up

There's zero reason to ever use the leg press machine.
