>I can't even lift 25lbs with each arm
Chest is pure genetics, isn't it? I have no chest strength at all.
Whaf a fricking shit body, good for nothing.
My only alternative now is going to the BMI 16 route.

thats about normal for someone whos never been active in his life anon. You've literally barely tried yet and are already about to give up. Give it 6 months and do it right then if you still suck you're welcome to kys
will do, but I'm already old (31). As I mentioned here
I can't even do 1 pushup. I'm so sad, it feels like there's nothing to do about it.
It's easy to lift a lot of weight targeting any other muscle. I lift more with my triceps than with my chest.
Unfortunately chest is the most important muscle to look good, and I can't work it. Frick my life.
Are you overweight or too thin?
fake and gay. there is always something to do about it. thats what being a man is about anon. never too late to start learning that. sounds like lifting will teach you some life lessons you missed along the way.
>thats what being a man is about anon
being a man = having sex with women
so, I'm not a man, as I'm a virgin as well. Lifting weights won't make me a man.
I'll try the tips you guys gave me but this is too depressing.
you are being a fricking sad sack on your own. thats not what being a man is about. self sufficieny and not being a whiny b***h is what being a man is about. either fix your problems or quit b***hing. the answers for this one are easy but you just dont want to put the work in. no one has time for it honestly, theyre all busy fixing their own problems.
alternatively this is a troll thread and you need to have a nice day
>I'm so sad, it feels like there's nothing to do about it.
Stop thinking like that, all it takes is time and effot. It sounds like you're already making excuses for yourself because you know it will be difficult.
I recommend just do calisthenics exercises like pushups, main ones I recommend are pushups, pullups, dips and inverted rows for 6 months - 1 year to build your basic physique and strength. Then you can start doing the typical gym lifts. Before that I don't see a point, you're getting ahead of yourself basically
>Will do. How many reps and sets?
Do 5 sets everyday of as many reps as you can manage. Try and start doing pullups and dips too same method 5 sets AMRAP
Look up online if you can't do 1 rep, there are easier versions for both of these exercises
Pullups you can do only the negative part (when you go down), and Dips there are assisted versions at gyms which push you up.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/L-Yd2YpIDkI there is always a way dude
My best friend started working out at 30, couldnt bench an empty barbell and was fat, shit posture, acne, etc. Hes one of the bigger guys in our friend group now and is about to get married. WAGMI
I'll try this progession, hope I can do at least 1 pushup soon. thank you
I know, but I feel like I'm justified being like this as nothing ever works in my life despite my effort.
then you keep trying shit. no one said life would be easy. i used to be a big fat indolent piece of shit. now im in objectively good shape and people like me. theres tons of people on this site with that exact story. every one of them did a fricking shitload of work that normies couldnt even dream of to just get to that level.
also, if you cant do one pushup, i can absolutely guarantee that you have never actually tried that hard at anything in your life and youve just gotten used to things being handed to you out of pity or exasperation.
Fine. Then you're a weak little homosexual who couldn't possibly ever improve.
If you really believe that there's nothing for you here.
Bro you need to be brutally honest with yourself. You are a weak frick and its going to take a long time (years) to climb out of that hole. You can do it if you stick with it, but its gonna cost you time, money, effort and leave you sore as frick. If you can't handle that, I suggest you take up power-walking to stay fit and carry a gun cause you are an easy target.
>I'm already old (31)
>31
>old
Youre 31 and sound like a teenager
Just commit to it,do you seriously believe you are genetically incapable of building muscle?
What a joke
bump
Then drop down to 20 lbs and if you can't do that then drop down to 15. As a 117 lb dyel skelly I was limited to 17.5 lbs in each arm first time I tried it, a year later and after gaining 30 lbs I can rep out 50s with little to no fatigue.
If you can't do 30 strict pushups, there's no point in benching. Worse gains and easy injury
I can't do one (1) pushup. Should I do nothing?
mogs me. I hope to achieve your gains.
>can't do one (1) pushup
Why are you benching then? You should train your base strength with calisthenics before you try gym lifts
Do incline pushups on a couch or bench do build up to normal ones
Will do. How many reps and sets?
I'm 170lbs 6ft, a little overweight.
I was never able to do 1 pushup tho. Not even when I was 130lbs.
Okay.
Then its simply due to lack of activity.
I'd recommend hitting the track or treadmill at the gym to start off. Possibly while holding 2.5lb weights once you're comfortable a few times in.
Your main issue is simply lack of muscle use. Starting with weight lifting is going to leave you depressed. So start 'breaking your body in' with some jogging. While it focuses on the legs you do get stimulation for every muscle to a degree. And its a lot easier to begin with.
You shouldn't be heavy enough to harm your joints.
you need to start by benching 15 lb dbs (or whatever you can) and work your way up if you actually can't do 1 push up. Make sure you have good form too and don't ego lift or you really aren't progressing.
Is benching the bar too much for you? Might be worth benching empty bar and add 5lb/session as newbie.
Not being able to do 1 push up sounds like bait but I'll be a moron and bite it, hope this helps
Wall pushups then table pushups then chair pushups then knee pushups then standard pushups
If you manage to get 20 in one variation move to the next one. Once you manage to do 30 strict pushups then consider hitting the bench.
And please eat your carbs and proteins, your source of weakness could be your lack of energy
>Once you manage to do 30 strict pushups then consider hitting the bench.
Awful advice, his issue is his strength to weight ratio, he could be a turbo fat or very weak or a combination of both. Anyone can hit bench and easily progress, just start with baby weight and move up. Bodyweight exercises are unfun for many and difficult to track progress due the power to weight ratio I mentioned before.
>wall pushups until stronger
>knee pushups after too strong for wall pushups
>real pushups after too strong for knee pushups.
When you can blast out 25 real pushups with ease you can go back to weights.
You need to do pushups 3 times a week. Start with 3 sets of 10 and increase as you get stronger. Most likely will take you a little over a year before you have reached minimum conditioning for weight training.
Start sucking off truckers after a long day of driving for meth, or improve yourself and stop being a homosexual.
BLACKPILL DEPRESSION SOIKEK DEMORALIZATION THREAD
The only thing you need to do is go to the gym regularly, do the same lifts, get a good stretch and pump, put in some good effort, eat well and sleep well. Are you getting stronger than before? GOOD. If not? Identify the issue. 99.999999% of people have a body that adapts to stimulus, it is LITERALLY that easy. If your body did not adapt to stimulus you would be dead or bed ridden with terminal illness.
tl;dr FRICK OFF KYS BECAUSE YOUR MINDSET IS POISON FOR THE REST OF HUMANITY AND YOU'RE NGMI.
that's not what demoralization is. I'm talking about a personal problem that I had my whole life and asking people here how to overcome it, and they are helping me.
I tried, very hard. I don't know what'a going on but anyway, I'l try thay pushup progression. As of now I can't even lift myself from floor. pathetic.
Your first post was not a question and your first reply in the thread was defeatist garbage, sorry for assuming it was yet another demoralization thread however everything else i said in my post is the same.
Unironically the best advice I can give you is put the blinders on, do not compare to others only look for tips and inspiration. You have damaged your body for 20 years probably it will not be fixed in 1, focus on your session for that day and do not beat yourself for not setting a pr. Zoom out and look at your progression over months and quarters and years when you get to that point. Try a few new things in the gym but stay consistent and build the habit. It is important to have fun and get a good feeling from going not punishing yourself afterwards for not being good enough.
This is all coming from someone who was skinny fat, man breasts, giga autist, social anxiety ridden nerd.
based advice, will steal this pasta for future cases like OP
No, you’re just a beginner. When I first started lifting, I went from 15lbs to 35lbs in a month.
kys you weak b***h
My thirteen year old daughter lifts the same weight as you.
You might wanna consider transitioning.
And I have flat delts (Even front delt) Because I used to do lots of pushups as a kid.
Do pushups for chest, it's a stabilizing muscle
My brother in Christ, do pushups
>Elbows flared out
I hate people like you more than you could ever know
Why do you hate him? He can't do anything about it now or at least not immediately.
Have you read his replies? he's a whiny c**t
>31 being old
my Black, i started at 28 and gained 30lbs of muscle in a few months. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a PT or something
>>I can't even lift 25lbs with each arm
Then grab 20's and do it.
