I finally did it, I am not a fatty anymore. Don't mind the scar, it was just a tumour.

I finally did it, I am not a fatty anymore. Don't mind the scar, it was just a tumour. Here are my tips for all the fatties out there:
- Avoid all industrial sugar, white flour or other refined starches. No chocolate, no sweet pastries, no white bread or toast. This is how I started losing weight and lost 5 kg in the first month and a half.
- Avoid all highly processed foods. Buy fresh food and cook it yourself, fruit, vegetables, meat, dried pulses and buckwheat. If you buy processed food, it should be as little processed as possible, e.g. canned tuna or cod liver always in its own juice.
- Drink mainly water, otherwise unsweetened tea and coffee in the morning. Water should be self-explanatory and the caffeine in tea and coffee helps to suppress hunger and be more active. If you have access to other stimulants because of an ADHD diagnosis or the like, take them. Milk should be seen as a food and not a drink.
- DON'T EAT SO MUCH! That's the be-all and end-all! You need to eat a balanced diet to ensure your nutrient intake, but eat less. Memediets such as no-carbs and the like are only helpful because the calorie intake is reduced due to the limited choice of food. I have tried various diets myself and have noticed that none of them are particularly helpful. In general, however, an increased protein intake should be ensured and if carbohydrates are consumed, then from wholesome sources such as pulses, lentils, buckwheat and oatmeal.
- Sport and exercise are advisable, but not essential. It is more important to lead a more active life in general, not only because energy consumption is increased without conscious effort, but because being busy means you don't have time and boredom for unnecessary eating. For a while, I used to watch 8 hours of anime a day and was so busy staring that I hardly ate. Even though I was just sitting around, I still lost weight. When I started working, a job where I am always either standing or walking, I lost weight even faster.

    - Skip meals. Try to go without food periodically throughout the day, for example, if you are working, try not to eat anything at work and only eat a normal portion at home.
    - If there is a party or a birthday, eat normally, but without overeating. As long as you don't have 100 friends, which I doubt, and you go to four birthdays a month, it's okay to eat cake, sweets, greasy goose with dumplings and so on from time to time. It's far more demotivating if you can't act socially compliant.
    - Be aware that this is a long-term dietary change and not a short-term diet. You can't go back to your old eating habits after losing weight and expect to maintain your weight, you will never eat the same again if you want to keep your shape.
    - Weigh yourself every day, but be aware of natural weight fluctuations. The scale is your friend, it will show you what works and what doesn't, but you will notice if you eat salt or carbs for example after a long period of abstinence, you will see rapid weight gain. This is perfectly normal and not fat storage.

You're welcome! I think most people on IST are from the US so I don't know if you have it, but one of the best foods you can buy is Magerquark. It's cheap, has a lot of protein, little calories and fills you up

Magerquark is the best. But holy shit is it always a fight to eat a 500g tub of that stuff. Beats shitty protein powdwr tho.

I always put some milk in it because of the consistency it genuinely becomes hard to swallow. Mixing it with milk and oats as well makes it a nice meal

A little bit of loose skin becomes apparent now, I think if I get more skinny it will become a little loose

I read somewhere that losing up to 45kg is still in the range of where the skin doesn't become flabby. With time and if I build muscle mass again it will hopefully stretch out again since it really is a little loose, even if I can only feel it with my hands but hardly see it

I just wanted to say that you normally can't outrun a burger. If your goal is to lose weight, you need to change your eating habits.
But yes, that's why I highly recommend to exercise as well

He's right. If your sole goal is to lose weight you don't need a fit lifestyle, however without being fit you'll look ugly as a thin man

I don't think that thin men are necessarily ugly, some are quite cute

That's right, I think a little definition makes the difference and you need at least some muscle for that. It only gets ugly when you have zero muscle but still a little fat.
I still want to lose some fat and gain some muscle, time will show

Interesting. I generally don't eat bread in cuttings too.

How do you guys lose weight and not have loose skin

I am still considerably young and I didn't hold my peak fatness for decades, maybe only some years.
The younger you are and the shorter the time period of fatness, the better your skin will tighten again
