You had better stretch after. I never stretched and I ended up going to the doctor for knee pain. He told me it was because my quad was too tight and it was dragging my kneecap out if it's socket and damaging the ligaments. All of this was fixed by literally just stretching my quads and I don't have knee pain anymore.

The real scam is warmups. Never do warmup sets, wave loading, pyramid sets, etc. In the time it takes you to do them you could just do 3x12 with a weight you can complete the sets at rpe 8. It's only "better" because you're spending more time under tension. Just so more sets or do harder sets instead.
This is stupid, not only are you less likely to injure something if your muscles and connective tissues are warm, loose and well supplied by blood (blood vessels dilate when you warm up) you can also lift more, plus if you have an overuse injury or knot developing it's better to find out during a warmup set with low weight than when you go for your 1 RM.
