A person who doesn't train mma isn't going to have illegal moves hardwired into their muscle memory either. And an mma person will have an arsenal of moves and knowledge that they don't even have to think about before they perform. You can only perform what you train day in and day out. Thinking ,oh ill just gouge his eyes out or ill just do this or do that. No you won't unless you've performed the action enough on a person in sparring/fighting to develop muscle memory otherwise you'll just freeze on the spot and get cold wienered or taken down and choked out. Also these illegal moves require you to be in position to perform, meaning you have to know what your doing and where you are as far as footwork and groundwork to be able to manipulate your opponent to get in position to perform said move.
Not this guy but these moves don't really level the playing field when it comes to skill because they only work when you're the one winning. Not really no. Once you bring a knife into the situation a guy can just shoot you because you've escalated the situation into using deadly force. It's a lose lose. You either get killed or you kill the other person and go to prison and then get your ass beat because you didn't learn to fight because you thought it was useless since you had weapons. This really depends on the fight. Are you just walking up while he's unaware and stabbing him in the neck? Then yeah obviously being good at MMA isn't going to help. You could do the same with any kind of weapon, you could walk up and crack him on the back of his skull with a brick and get the same results. That's just murder though, it's not really a fight.
If he knows you have it though and he knows a fight is coming, you're probably still fricked. Stabbing isn't all too different from punching and in MMA it's not as if these guys just stand there and get punched. They have trained to get out of the way of a punch, grab someone who has thrown a sloppy punch, etc. Even if you do stab him, you're in arms range of him and he isn't just going to get stabbed and stumble backwards and die like he's in a movie. Whether there's a knife in his side or not, he's going to be pumped full of adrenaline and start caving your face in. Yeah, he's definitely going to hospital after and he might die but chances are you're definitely dead and he would have been considered justified doing anything he did because you had a knife.
