I work up to it I don't just start at 155. I do a few clean reps of 115 then 135 first. I've been conditioning my biceps with heavy curls and weighted pull ups for a few years now so I'd say my tendons are in pretty good shape. Also I take like 4 rest days a week so I'm never over working my biceps.
