I just did a 2 minute 36 seconds plank

My longest ever was 4 minutes and 31 seconds. I bet I could push myself to do 5 or 6 minutes soon if I keep going.

What's your longest plank ever? Do you like planks? I find planks the best exercise for my abs, even better than the ab roller. A good plank gets your abs going crazy.

      No 6 pack, still have too much body fat I'm trying to drop but I've shed 25 pounds and got a flat belly. I do a lot of obliques exercises and my belly looks great but isn't extremely defined. I can only see the outline of the 6 pack but I need to lose further 4% of body fat or so.

      I also like weighted sit ups and crunches with a dumbbell sometimes
      Woodchops, side bends into a serratus uppercut. And the ab roller of course.
      I've been planning to get a 6 pack by summer, might still get there. WAGMI if we all do more planks

      Also congrats on the 2 minute plank. It looks easier than it really is when your whole body is shaking and screaming of pain. That's what you want for good results though. Give your muscles hell

        Thanks. My back muscles seem to fail me first. Anything i can do to stop that? Am i doing something wrong? Im gonna go do a plank rn and report my newest time. Gonna give it my all

          Bro i did it, 2min37s plank just so i could beat you. I guess competition is a good way to max out your gains. This time i really felt it in my abs, my hips were too low on earlier attempts.

          Tuck your pelvis to engage your core, makes planks a lot more effective plus you won’t sag in your hips until you’re very close to failure

      Side planks kill me after 1 minute, but I do my obliques so am still in the game

      This has been my longest plank. 2 minutes. I usually stop right after it starts hurting, but today I kept going thanks to you. It simply takes one to stop crying like a b***h and endure the pain.

    My local gym had a plank competition for last month, and I ranked 3rd best in the gym, which I was pretty happy with. 5min 24sec.

    The world record for a plank is over 9 hours which should tell you how pointless of an exercise it is.

      The world record for amount of push ups in a row is 3,264 which should tell you there is always someone who can make your efforts seem useless, but why should you even care as long as it helps you?

    I never thought planks were this hard for everyone. I managed to make 2 minutes but always do 2-3 sets of 1 minute. Thought athletic people could do like 5 minutes at ease, so I guess being able to do 2 mins is pretty good right?

    I have done 1:30, after a doing them for quite some time it went down to just a couple of seconds over a minute. Now I can do 1:15. I’m both very tall and slightly fat so it’s difficult but it steadily gets better when I actually get around to doing them.

    Began working out in December and last night I did 65ib weighted planks for 45 seconds, 8 sets. Puked my entire dinner out afterwards.

    I don't do planks often but my personal best is 3 minutes. It's a good exercise to test your limits I think.
