I just went to the gym and lifted for the first time in two years. How much longer do I have to lift before my constant feeling of hopelessness and emptiness goes away?

Seek therapy moron, lifting only helps your body, if you want your mindset to change you can’t expect weights to change it for you

Try to figure out what you’re missing that makes you feel that way. Do you ever spend time with friends? Are you just lonely? Get the frick off the chan, it’s not gonna help. And stop smoking weed, that shit will dull your dopamine response and make you depressed. I got a part time job at the gym when I was in college, and it’s how I met lots of friends and learned a ton about lifting. I would stand around talking to the personal trainers, asking them questions and getting their free advice on stuff. And because you have a job there, you don’t need to find motivation to go. The friendships that I made had a big impact on my life because they were all motivated people, and it’s where I learned how to work on my appearance. I fricked a lot of girls after that and I’m still friends with most of the guys I met 15 years later. You gotta talk to people though, give people a reason for wanting to get to know you. good luck bro.
