christbros I know it's real early to ask, but before this thread gets absolutely derailed into oblivion, how in the world am I supposed to keep my protein consumption adequate during the Great Lent?

Substitutes like lentils. Or if you’re doing something specific maybe you can use protein powder?

Based and Christ's bestest boy. Our bodies are temples made in His image and likeness, it's time to sculpt them really well.

This, there's also protein powder that does not use whey but onions isolate, you could use that.

onions is a fairly complete protein but I don't want it to be my main source, I'm coping

I just eat mostly meat and eggs and prey for Jesus to forgive me.
          Plant based protein sucks BTW.

this year I went vegetarian instead of pure vegan and it worked out okay, I just can't imagine dropping eggs and dairy and needing to gorge on plants for decent protein, I feel like it equally defeats the purpose of Lent

If you’re a relatively healthy young man then you’ll be alright using basedprotein based powder for 40 days.

you're probably right, but again I don't see the point in substituting an animal product for its plant-based alternative for Lent as I'll still be consuming the same amount of it for the same purpose, with no gluttonous intentions but simply because I need it. Am I thinking of it wrongly? I will still strengthen my faith in regular prayer and fasting.

You're not, the point of fasting for Lent is to go beyond your worldly desires. It's not just about food, it's also about greed, lust, anger and so on. You deny yourself things that bring you carnal pleasure, that includes meat and animal products since they're tasty as frick. Personally I don't see a problem with using whey dissolved in water for instance. You could also ask your priest for input since he would know better.

But don't frick with muh gains, my physical shell is my priority

You could get pea protein. Worked fine for me I guess.
            You could also eat tofu

            No.
For 99.9% of people Meat tastes better than onions
I think it's about the enjoyment you get from it. That's why you are supposed to abstain from it.

I'd talk to you priest about it. I know some people give up red meat and then abstain from something else like coffee

pray to the lord to give you strength and realise that protein is over rated. watch videos from mike mentzer explaining the ratio. strengthen your spirit and your body will follow. is better to eat less protein and be stronger mind that stronger body with a beta mindset. also lots of beans, ask your priest to allow you some fish until you get used to no meat.

You can't. Omad will already compromise muscle protein synthesis, even total protein doesn't change. That's before considering all the banned sources of protein.

If I was a christcuck and wanted to make this work, I would eat dinner at sundown, protein shakes every two hours before bee, then wake up at 4am to hit a protein shake before sunrise. This will cause nasty high blood sugar all night and frick your sleep somewhat but it's better IMO than going protein deficient
