Is your chest growing
it feels like everything else is outpacing it even though I do chest at beginning of workout and give it proportionally the most volume
do one arm cable rows as warm up for your chesticles.
Deep dips.
how much do u bench my homie
I don't know, I only ever do incline dumbell cause I have no spotter. Last time I tried I could lift a 1pl8 + 10lbs on each sides. But that was months ago.
Why do you need a spotter if you're doing dumbbells? Literally just drop them off you can't make the rep
reading comprehension? I'm replying to someone asking what I bench, I'm responding that in case he was asking about barbell bench I never do it only dumbell.
What do you need a spotter to bench 1 plate for lmao. Don't put clips on and side dump it if your that much of a weak b***h or just bench inside a power rack with safeties. This is the dumbest shit i've read in a while.
not OP, barbell bench is worse than db, why go through the moronic process of dumping weights when you could just get a better workout working more muscles and not even have to drop the weights in the event you do fail a rep?
Why are you scared? You don't need a spotter if you learn how to bench press properly.
you also dotn need a spotter if you do the superior db bench
forget about "feeling" the lifts and bench more homosexual
Pause for 2 seconds at the maximum contraction point.
Do slow (20s) negatives with 120% of your 1 rep max
>maximum contraction
do you mean the center of ROM, or the fully eccentric part?
If done correctly, you should feel your chest even with regular push-ups.
do regular push ups like this anon said and try incline bench press on a smith machine. with a nice controlled slow and steady form.
iktfb
it isnt perfect but the closest thing i get to feeling chest is dips, try some of those
do dumbell flies. or use those hanging handles(or gymnast rings) to do pec flies in a pushup position(added bonus of being able to start at high angles to the ground to make it easier if more perpendicular is too difficult)
also, I only do db bench with a slight incline, like the first rung up from flat. the way the pecs are shaped and striated, it seems like a more natural motion for them. flat bench seems to hit lower pecs at least slightly more, and I think the slight angle counteracts that. and it counteracts the back arch that would make it target lower pecs more. so try that
You need to take your current weight and reps, and fricking double it. serious. work till failure or you're not going to see growth.
Cable flies should really activate your chest. Watch Scott Herman videos on how to do them. Go really light and focus on the technique and feeling it in your chest. You should really feel it in your chest once both your hands are close together.
Pushups and deficit pushups are underrated and should be done too
