Agreed OP. The absolute, bare minimum for being allowed to post here should be 2Pl8 for 6 reps. This is such a fricking baby number, even for us natties. I literally started lifting at around 2Pl8.
So I got up to 335 max bench at 190lbs when I was in my early 20s, my squat was 405 at the same time. Was running a sub 18min 5k, could hit 11.9 sec 100m, and did a half marathon in 1:29. Bf% was around 10. I even competed in boxing, bjj, and mma.
All natty.
But the fricked up part is I never looked ripped. My fat always stores around my stomach and I look like a fricking potbellied ogre. I’m 13% bf still, I just rep 225x10x3 for squats and bench (I DL 315 for 5x3 and bent over row 205x10x3) just to maintain my strength because I’m almost 40 now. I still run good times, but I’m a little slower.
Someone talked to me about yoga, I’ve been doing it and have noticed a huge difference in muscle tone around my stomach.
I always wished I was more ripped, but I look like geodude or the rock monster from never ending story. It’s bullshit man.
