I recently had to change from barbell pressing to weighted dips. And I've noticed I reached failure much sooner than with benching. I checked and I dip 30% more weight than bench press (this ratito proved realiable for me), so I always make the calculation to know how much weight I'm using but when the weight is equivalent to my normal bp working sets I reach failure much sooner. Is it because of the stretch?
I'm used to feeling more tied after reaching failure so confused. Also, is there any benefit in using less load? Because otherwise I feel comfortable enough just using the equivalent loads.

Yes, it's better for the joints and ligaments. Doing heavy barbell movements can get taxing. There's a reason people say get more out of less weights.
