I'm 23 and otherwise healthy, I workout a lot and am a healthy bf%. I've been keto for a year or so with a focus on eating a shit ton of meat for protein and I think it has clogged my arteries. Is there any way to reverse this clogging or am I fricked for life.

        You have an electrolyte imbalance. But some salt substitute and salt and magnesium. Mix them in a glass of water and drink it. You'll feel better.

        There are no studies on vit k2 and heart palpitations, but one quick search shows k2 supplementation at least (usually the mk-7 variant) gives a lot of these symptoms to users. Why, i havn't looked into that.

              If i were op i'd stop doing keto as well. It's a way too complicated diet to work for anyone who isn't getting extensive blood work done every month. It's just not worth it. A mixture of meats, vegetables, carbs, fiber, dairy and fruit is what every average joe should consume imo.

              I always like to think about food that it's all garbage if you eat a monotrophic diet. You can't live on just eggs. You can't live on just potatoes or rice. You need to switch things up.

    That's what keto does. It's not necessarily the dietary cholesterol but the chronic stress of keto causing vascular damage. Keto elevates all the stress hormones because the body is forced to convert protein and fat into glucose which is primarly mediated by adrenaline and cortisol.

        Lol no you won't, the people saying "cholesterol is actually le good!!!" from statistics/health data are just morons not aware of epidemiology. High cholesterol has a lower risk of death than low cholesterol because after heart attacks, organ failure, cancer etc. your cholesterol drops pretty substantially. If you remove people with these severe preexisting issues then high cholesterol is terrible for your cardiac health

      If you're worried about your low cholesterol, it should be noted that removing vegetables from the diet increases your cholesterol back up to healthy levels. If you're worried that you're not in the reference ranges, I'm laughing at you and I refuse to explain why you're not gonna make it

    The most common culprit when people think they're having a heart attack is stress. The fact that you're on a mongolian basket weaving forum kvetching about being fricked for life by a fad diet suggests you're a neurotic person. I would suggest cutting back on caffeine, getting more sleep, drinking more water, etc. It's possible you pinched an intercostal muscle or had a very minor tear in one of your pectoral muscle fibers, but that wouldn't explain the tachycardia. And if you're doing any moron shit like smoking, drinking, cocaine, etc, that's obviously it but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

    these sound more like anxiety/reflux symptoms (and anxiety can sometimes cause reflux so it can be both) but that doesn't mean you should continue your shitty keto diet
